This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Spain traffic signal s2.png. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you.

Please add your files to appropriative pages and/or categories where other users could easily find them. For example to Category:Diagrams of road signs of Spain.

Please note that SVG is better format for such images.

EugeneZelenko 16:35, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your comments. Would you tell me how I can put them in the category?
Just add [[Category:Diagrams of road signs of Spain]] into image description. But I already added your images there. Please add license info into Image:Spain traffic signal s9.png. --EugeneZelenko 16:49, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And would you say me which programm is the best for edit SVG files? Fireworks can do it?
http://inkscape.org is open source program. I think commercial ones like Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator will create SVG too. --EugeneZelenko 16:49, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm converting some PNG images to vector images in Fireworks, to export to Freehand later. But in Freehand there's no possible save the file as SVG, so I must save it in .fh11 or .eps. But the Inkscape don't open this extensions. Do you know how I can transfer PNG vectors from Fireworks to SVG in Inkscape? Thanks. Benedicto16 12:36, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I remember discussions here, Inkscape could convert bitmaps into vector form itself. If you'll have technical questions, you could ask them on Commons talk:WikiProject Flags. Member of this project much more experienced graphics artists them me and solved similar problems. --EugeneZelenko 14:37, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Best regards --Benedicto16 16:44, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please make SVG with bigger size so other people could have better preview of image. Unfortunately MediaWiki will not scale them.

Please don't forget to add these images to Category:Diagrams of road signs of Spain.

EugeneZelenko 15:00, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, EugeneZelenko. I upload the images small 'cause the file size is smaller and 'cause if you click on the image you go to here, where you can resize the image. Also it is bigger in the article's galleries. Anyway I'll make the next pictures bigger.
Respect the background, it only appears in the image page, but in Traffic sign#Señales de prioridad: and in Señales de prioridad (the picture is the STOP sign) you can see it correctly. So, I think the problem is not the picture. Perhaps the problem is the Wikipedia server. I don't know. Do you know how I can repear it?
Strange I didn't see some images on Spanish page, but could see them on Commons (R-302, R-303). May be something wrong with size, so MediaWiki could not scale them correctly? May be something wrong with thumbnails cache… FYI: I use Firefox 1.5 on Win 98. --EugeneZelenko 03:31, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just for information: some of the images show only empty background. May be something wrong with SVG code. --EugeneZelenko 15:08, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Spain map[edit]

I've just uploaded a Spain raiways in 19th century map in SVG. Of course I've drawn it by myself, but the source is an atlas. That is legal, ¿isn't it? And, like I drew the map, the license must be {{PD-myself}}? Best regards, Benedicto XVI Español | English 21:25, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tough question... If you used only key points like cities for drawing map, {{PD-self}} is applicable. Facts (railroad connect city A with city B) could not be copyrighted. --EugeneZelenko 03:34, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Hidding images[edit]

Respect the hidding traffic signs, should I make a clon in PNG? The first images I uploaded was PNG, and they all are visible. Benedicto XVI Español | English 13:10, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I could recommend to try to ask help at Commons talk:WikiProject Flags. As far as I remember, they fixed some issues in SVG flags related to internal MediaWiki SVG renderer. If you will not able to fix SVG code, then creating PNG is only solution. --EugeneZelenko 14:47, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Did you really create this image by yourself? To me it looks like an official press photo which would not be allowed on Commons. --Matt314 14:58, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that the website, http://www.lamanana.com.es/, is actually released under the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs licence, which, like all other noncommercial Creative Commons licences, are not permitted on here on Commons. Thanks. Zzyzx11 16:50, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I used this image at http://www.flashfictiononline.com/f20091202-note-from-the-future-ray-vukcevich.html . Jdfreivald (talk) 04:42, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Benedicto, you made and uploaded a lot of SVG images. Would you please look whether you could do that with a tool not producing such a lot of garbage?
Your File:Spain traffic signal r301.svg containes more than 496000 bytes, while user Habbit made it with less than 9000 (but with a wrong font).
I tried to disgarbage your File:Spain traffic signal r1.svg and File:Spain traffic signal r100.svg reducing them to less than a half promille of their sizes, while showing almost the same picture.
May be it will not be difficult for you to find another strategy for creating SVGs, avoiding the hundreds of thousands of CDATA fill bytes of no use; at least it would be nice if you remove them before uploading (as I just did at File:Zonas Abono Transportes Madrid dg.svg). Thanx! -- sarang사랑 15:19, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:M-100.JPG[edit]

There is a problem with this file File:M-100.JPG that you have uploaded. Can you find a solution? -- Gi87 (talk) 22:04, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
