Hello! I've seen some of your edits, and I really appreciate the contributions you're making to Commons. I'm glad you're helping the project! You may wish to consider creating an account. It's quick, free, and anonymous (you don't have to give away any real-world information about yourself).

When you're logged in, you can do many things that unregistered users cannot, such as creating new pages, uploading media content, moving pages and keeping track of changes to articles you edit frequently. It helps the community, too—other users will be more likely to remember who you are when you have an account name.

If you want more information on the benefits of creating an account, see this page. And once you've registered, please drop me a message and say hi! Don't forget to sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (or by clicking on the button) ~~~~.

I, too, have noticed some of your edits, in particular the very good advice to User:Pauk. Accounts are free and anonymous (if you want) and they have a variety of advantages which you see from the links above. So why not open one now?. . . . Jim . . . . Hi Krinkle and Jameslwoodward :-) Thank you for your recommondations, i do know the advantages of an account but (sometimes) prefer to edit as ip to prevent an "overwhelming" of my regular account respectively usually i'm not logged in from my "office pc" (password etc.). Hoping you agree, sending my very best regards, Roland 02:23, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
I'd still like to recommend logging in from the Office PC (you can disable saving the password), as this will make not only communication with you easier, it will also prevent mixing up users (I asume with office pc you meant computer at work) - so you wont be mistaken for someone else. And secondly, we have an anonymous users patrol-team. It would save some checking if you would be logged in --Krinkletalk 08:21, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I know that I look at all edits on my watchlist by anonymous users, but only a few from known good editors. It would save time for all the people who have watchlisted anything you edit. If you pay attention to the rules, a second account is permitted for just the reasons you mention, see en:WP:SOCK#LEGIT.. . . . Jim . . . . Hi, if you wish to motivate this ip to do as recommended by you, please feel free to support my work on User talk:Pauk, p.e. March 11 and March 18 ref. Categorisation/Location info. Thank you in advance and best regards, Roland 12:56, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Category discussion warning

Politics of Ticino has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!
