Your input to the Ubisoft deletion discussion[edit]

Hi ΛΦΠ, I'm curious why you removed your comment that said you had sent an e-mail to Ubisoft asking about the licensing. Did you not send that e-mail? Or did you get a reply already? Thanks and regards, -- ChrisiPK (Talk|Contribs) 14:11, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ChrisiPK
In fact, before sending my e-mail, I spoke with User:Jean-Frédéric to know what he thought about my email. And today he said me that it would be better if this mail would be sent by "Wikimedia France" instead of me, because Wikimedia France has much more power than a single contributor. So, finaly, the mail stayed in my mail box, and Wikimedia France will contact Ubisoft. I was so sure that Jean-Fred would say me "yes, send it, we will see what's gonna happen" that I wrote on Commons that I already sent my mail... Sorry !
I wish you a happy new year --ΛΦΠ (talk) 14:26, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Un petit oubli[edit]

Salut Bapti,

Salut Bapti,

Concernant 2 images (File:Ralf Hütter by Ueli Frey (1976).jpg et File:Kraftwerk by Ueli Frey (1976).jpg), l'autorisation envoyée par Ueli Frey ne semble pas convenir. Pourquoi ?

Cordialement.--Bapti 20:11, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS Anuman[edit]

--ΛΦΠ (talk) 15:10, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: How to create animated population pyramids ?[edit]

Hi Sdgedfegw,

I love your work on population pyramids, especially the animated South Korea population pyramid (GIF file) that you uploaded a few months ago.

I just would like to know what tools you used to create this file, because I would like to create a similar animated population pyramid for France. All the datas are available here : https://www.insee.fr/fr/statistiques/3312958

Thank you ! --ΛΦΠ (talk) 06:17, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm using Excel 2019 to create population pyramids, for the animated one, I'm just create 60 .png images then generate the .gif file using a free .gif generator on the internet. It took several hours though. -- Sdgedfegw (talk) 06:18, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's a wonderful work I have Excel 2010 but I can't find how to create a population pyramid. Could you send me your Excel file with population pyramids of South Korea ? I'll just have to change the datas to generate the population pyramids for France. Then I'll use a free tool to create the GIF file. You can use WeTransfer and send me the link. Thank you so much if you have time to do it !! --ΛΦΠ (talk) 14:29, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think it could be a little too hard for you to create the France demographic transition on your own so I'll create it for you. ask me anything that you want in the France chat and I'll do it for you, for example a French version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sdgedfegw (talk • contribs) 17:20, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your very kind proposal to create the file by yourself. Here is the official webpage of INSEE (French Statistics Institute) on which you can see French age pyramids since 1900. They propose an Excel document with all the datas (here). However some datas are lost between 1914 and 1920, and datas are clearly not significant for the period of the WW2. The GIF file of the animated French population pyramid should therefore start with datas of 1946 until 2020. If you have time to do it that would be fantastic !! --ΛΦΠ (talk) 22:25, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've just discovered that German statistics year-by-year are also available here (by Destatis, German official statistics institution). Quite a funny tool with forecasts until 2060. --ΛΦΠ (talk) 16:46, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
ive made the http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:France_demographics_transition_1901-2020.gif france demographics transition you asked for. sorry for the late respond, ive been busy lately. im planning to do germany's tomorrow --sdgedfegw (talk) 16:45, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Animated pyramids[edit]

Hey I made the Ukraine pyramid you requested: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ukraine_population_pyramid.gif

Check out the Norwegian pyramid too: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Norway_population_pyramid.gif it was annoyingly difficult to make, but I like the longer time series.--Tallungs (talk) 21:46, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much! I love your Norwegian pyramid. That's so interesting to watch evolutions since the 19th century, with emigrants to the United States at that time. I hope that you will find population datas for other countries :) I saw that you are seeking Chinese datas from the different census but I can't find it neither. Really hard to get. --ΛΦΠ (talk) 19:28, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
