Syntax
{{MSW |taxonId | taxonName }}
Parameters
  • taxonId
the id of the taxon on MSW web site.
Ex (for Chinchilla): 13400130
  • taxonName
The name of the taxon with its author (don't forget italic for genus and species)
Ex (for Chinchilla): ''Chinchilla'' Bennett, 1829
  • note=<note> (optional)
To add a note below the MSW link (It can be a copy of the MSW section "Comments").
  • checks=no (optional)
This template compares the parameter <speciesId> with the property P959 stored in wikidata.
When different, a maintenance category is added.
checks=no disables this test when {{MSW}} does not describe the taxon described in wikidata (Happens when there are multiple call to {{MSW}} on the same category/gallery, mainly in monotypic taxons)
