Description

Amateur film: New Orleans Carnival Week, February 22, 1941
Notes: Taken from St. Charles Avenue at and near Lafayette Square. Shows some prominent local buildings, including since demolished landmarks such as the old Choctaw Club building and the St. Charles Theatre.

  • Krewe of Nor children's parade.
  • Krewe of Venus women's parade.
  • Mardi Gras Day: Milling street revelers, including costumers individually and in small groups. Garden District Carnival Club walking parade. Truck parades.
