Google search[edit]

i would like to remove a picture from google search (it was on wikimedia commons) what do i have to do? thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.212.217.226 (talk • contribs)

Well, this is impossible. The image is highly likely on a google proxy server. Anyway, which image do you mean? --High Contrast (talk) 08:37, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Translations[edit]

{{editprotected}} This is one of the most visited pages of the wiki and needs localisation. However, it doesn't make sense to retranslate it locally: can please all pages redirect to the Meta equivalent and all links be pointed to m:Special:MyLanguage/Privacy policy? --Nemo 08:01, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd rather modify MediaWiki:Privacypage to "wmf:Privacy policy". – Kwj2772 (msg) 18:19, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
now redirect to fondationswiki--Steinsplitter (talk) 20:23, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Transclusion of translatable template[edit]

{{Commons policies and guidelines}} should be callet through {{TNT}} template. --Kaganer (talk) 22:51, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

PRISM[edit]

I have a simple question: Is Wikimedia or one of its sister projects forced to contribute to or to co-operate with PRISM ? I guess that it is interesting for the NSA to know all the e-mail addresses of the Wiki users, isn't it ? --Bautsch (talk) 09:21, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately we volunteer administrators do not have access to the servers so we will be unable to answer your question. However, you could try to contact the wmf: directly. This is, btw their official statement. not received requests or legal orders to participate in PRISM, however does not mean that there was no surveillance. {{Edit request}} Can someone please insert {{shortcut|COM:PRIV}} to the top, and {{Template:Commons policies and guidelines}} to the bottom of the page. Thanks! --.js ((())) 09:09, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
