Об этом и много уже перенёс. У нас есть категория Category:Days by day. Это категория событий по дням. Она содержит субкатегории фоторепортажей о событиях, видео, журналы и газеты вышедшие в этот день и т.п. Например. Я её годами возделываю, чтобы находить там фоторепортажи о событиях. Есть другая ветка категорий Category:Photographs by day - это техническая скрытая ветка для удобства систематизации фотографий по датам. Например. Когда-то добрые люди решили включить вторые субкатегорией в первую. В принципе логично, никто не против, но смешивать их не стоит. Там настолько всё принципиально по сути разное, что первая публичная, а вторая скрытая. То есть отдельные фотки за день нужно добавлять в Photographs by day, или в её подкатегории, например, Photographs taken on ... -> Russia photographs taken on ... -> Saint Petersburg photographs taken on ... и даже район можно указывать, есть прецеденты, только шаблоны нужно сделать. В категорию же даты следует добавлять только субкатегории событий, отдельных фоток туда добавлять не нужно. --sasha (krassotkin) 05:39, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Привет. Нашел в архивах родственников билет, рекламный буклет (фото интерьеров, карта круиза и тд) и инструкцию Интуриста - родственник совершал круиз на этом теплоходе в 1956 году. Можно ли добавить эти сканы на Commons и если да, то под какой лицензией?

Инструкцию, если она без особых красивостей оформления - как {{PD-text}}. Если буклет советский, и был напечатан в 1951 или ранее - то годится шаблон {{PD-Soviet Russia-corporate authorship}}. Добрый вечер, Павел @Kaganer! Заметил, что вы начали редактировать субтитры, сгенерированные ютьюбом, к видео с обращением президента РФ от 22 февраля 2022 года. Субтитры, к сожалению, совсем никудышные, так как помимо отсутствия пунктуации и не только её, там каждый субтитр находит на предыдущий — тайминги схлёстываются. Я начал делать субтитры к этому видео с нуля, на основе которых, как будут готовы субтитры на русских, планировал сделать субтитры на английском, так как с редактированием автоматически сгенерированных субтитров, по моему опыту, уходит больше времени на выправку, чем на создание новых. @Kaganer, извините за долгий ответ. Спасибо и хорошо, буду иметь в виду про связь через мессенджеры это действительно быстрее и заметнее. К слову, я периодически слежу за создаваемыми субтитрами и вношу корректировки, так как имею некоторый опыт в этом деле в проекте субтитрования выступлений TED. @Kaganer, спасибо! Подправил эту версию немного в соответствии со стандартами субтитрования, которыми я пользуюсь. Я немного надеялся, что как-то появится перевод на английский и/или другие языки с русского (что ещё лучше), но этого не случилось, появившиеся переводы опирались на трёхминутную версию перевода на английский, поэтому я также добавил субтитры на английском (если что, созданные из текста на сайте Кремля). Вероятно, теперь переводы на другие языки начнут делаться, вот только не знаю, сдюжат ли викимедийцы с переводом почти часового видео. Использование фотографий с викисклада[edit]

Часто нахожу свои фотографии пожертвованные Викимедии на других сайтах без всякого упоминания Викимедии и автора. Пример:

Внизу там текст: " if you are the author and find this image is shared without your permission, DMCA report please Contact Us". Я в общем-то не против, но насколько я понимаю это нарушение лицензии.

These we have some known problems. No any offwiki "closely relations" between Niklitov and me, but we both members of these same Wikimedia chapter, WMRU.

Help request[edit]

Hello, Kaganer! Around a year ago you've helped me set up a multi-language photo campaign. We're doing the same this year however I'm encountering some difficulties.

For example, in the main page (Commons:Gara e fotografisë së ushqimit tradicional shqiptar - 2023) the "Jury/Juria" subtab doesn't work even though the link for it works from the subpages link (Commons:Gara e fotografisë së ushqimit tradicional shqiptar - 2023/Nënfaqet).

Also, the category subtab (Category:Traditional Albanian food photography competition - 2023) is stuck showing the last year's category somehow because I used it as a model for this year. I've changed it but it still shows me 150 entries where actually it should show 0. Furthermore I can't seem to put it up for translation even though I've already translated its header (Commons:Gara e fotografisë së ushqimit tradicional shqiptar - 2023/Kreu i kategorisë).

Can you tell me exactly how you fixed the Juria/Jury link thing? I need to do the same thing for the last year campaign: Commons:Gara e fotografisë së ushqimit tradicional shqiptar - 2022. If you check the Juria/Jury tab in the above link you'll see that they suffer from the same problem.
Also, I'm genuinely sorry but I'm not sure what you mean about the category's language (the number of entries is now fixed though). The fact is that currently, out of all existing tabs, Fotografitë and Juria are the only tabs that lack an English version of them. After your last changes in the Commons:Gara e fotografisë së ushqimit tradicional shqiptar - 2022/Nënfaqet and Commons:Gara e fotografisë së ushqimit tradicional shqiptar - 2023/Nënfaqet should have been to re-marking these pages for translations. I'm did it.
"Fotografitë" menu item is led to Category:Traditional Albanian food photography competition - 2023. Categories is unneedeed to translation (your header template that is used there is "autotranslated").
"Juria" subpage currently is without any own translatable content (please note, that in 2002 you also did not filling this page; this is bad practice). No problem for marking this page for translation, but why??? For example, at first it would be worthwhile to write something meaningful there, for example, a list of members and rules of procedure for the work of the jury. --Kaganer (talk) 02:02, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much! How do you re-mark pages for translation? I'm asking so I don't disturb you anymore in the future in similar occasions. For example, I made this change but it is not reflected in the page even though I saved it. I also made this change and it is again not reflected in the main page (although it is reflected in the page itself).

As for everything else below, you are right. We should have added content to those page. The problem is that personally I'm supposed to only look after the technical infrastructure. There were some other users who were supposed to fill in the details, which never happened. Проблемы с Template:Federal subjects of Russia[edit]

Здравствуйте, Kaganer. Я заметил, что после вашей правки шаблон {{Federal subjects of Russia}} стал работать некорректно. Теперь категории для "Altai Republic"‎, "Republic of Karelia‎", "Sakha Republic"‎ дублируются и в шаблоне отображаются и перенаправления без "the" и категории с "the".

Посмотрите для примера на Category:Culture of the Altai Republic, где используется шаблон {{Federal subjects of Russia}}. В шаблоне теперь есть ссылка и на основную категорию и на перенаправление без "the" ("Republics: Adygea · Altai · Altai"). Раньше шаблон использовал "the Altai Republic"‎, "the Republic of Karelia‎", "the Sakha Republic"‎ (грамматически верные названия) по умолчанию, поэтому перенаправления без "the" никогда не отображались в шаблоне {{Federal subjects of Russia}}. Посмотрите, пожалуйста, внимательно - я ровно ничего не менял в содержании шаблона, и все эти варианты там были до моего вмешательства. Сравнивать нужно с кодом страницы Template:Federal subjects of Russia/i18n. --Kaganer (talk) 18:54, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Убрать эти варианты можно только после серьезной работы - сначала нужно во всех случаях использования шаблона проверить, что некорректные названия категорий везде являются только перенаправлениями. И только потом очистить шаблон от дублей. --Kaganer (talk) 18:57, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Не проще тогда откатить правки на время и доработать все в песочнице, прежде чем вносить изменения в шаблон, затрагивающий тысячи категорий?
Например, аналогичный шаблон {{Regions of Ukraine}} работает нормально и с LangSwitch. Смотрите для наглядности Category:Maps of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (при наличии Category:Maps of Autonomous Republic of Crimea в качестве перенаправления).--Russian Rocky (talk) 18:23, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ещё раз: я считаю, что мои правки никак не затрагивали то, о чём Вы пишете. На мой взгляд, эти проблемы были в исходном варианте, и я просто ничего не менял. С режимом перевода шаблона они никак не связаны.
С этим можно работать в новой версии ровно так же, как и в старой. Регионы Украины я, кстати, тоже, наверное, переведу на расширение перевода.
