Jeremiah Kinner (1756-1838) served as a private in the New York Militia during the American Revolutionary War. He was a founding member of the Mount Sinai Congregational Church. When Jeremiah Kinner was born on 1 July 1756, in Brooklyn, New York, his father, William Kinner Sr., was 36 and his mother, Hannah Chadock, was 41. He married Sarah Knapp on 21 February 1780, in Goshen, New York. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He lived in Brookhaven, New York for about 30 years. He died on 1 November 1838, in Port Jefferson, New York, at the age of 82, and was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Port Jefferson, New York.
