Thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments 2012!

Dear Xicotencatl,
Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2012, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world!

Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 350,000 pictures of cultural heritage objects from 36 countries around the world, becoming the largest photography competition to have ever taken place.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet).

If you'd like to start editing relevant Wikipedia articles and share your knowledge with other people, please go to the Wikipedia Welcome page for more information, guidance, and help.

To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey. Please fill in this short survey in your own language, and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2012.

Kind regards,

the Wiki Loves Monuments team

Comments Tilted ccw. WB off - too much red in the lower part of the image; the concrete of the buildings is not affected by the forest fires, is it? --Cccefalon 06:26, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Comment Yes, you're right. I uploaded a new version. --Xicotencatl 07:31, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
The WB is much better but the ccw tilt is still present. Please see the verticals of the buildings. --Cccefalon 08:05, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, but I disagree that the image is tilted. The buildings look vertical to me. --Xicotencatl 06:50, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
I left a note, how to judge the verticals. Just give it a try. However, it is only a very small rotation and should not be a reason to decline. --Cccefalon 02:50, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for your response.

The reason, why I asked was, that many of your pictures have some posterisation and - as it looks like - jpg-artifacts in the low structured, white sky. That makes it difficult for me, to promote this images. I was just thinking about, what the reason could be. Are you always going back to the origional (or a psd, or a 16bit-Tiff) when making some changes? Every new jpg conversion makes a picture worse, even when you use the lowest compression rate. I feel a bit helpless. Please make some tests or send me one of those original files, not per mail, use drive.google oder dropbox instead. I´m really very interested to check this out. Its really a pity! --Hubertl (talk) 19:28, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Yes, whenever I edit pictures, I go back to the original raw file in Lightroom. I really can't see the posterization you mention, but I reworked the file anyway. (This file for reference: [1]). Do you still see the posterization? If you do, as you suggested, I can send you the raw file of this and one or two others where you notice the same thing (just please point out which ones). Thanks! --Xicotencatl (talk) 05:47, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
