Welcome!

Hello, Wimox, and welcome to Wikimedia Commons. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

  • First steps - will tell you everything you need to know about how to upload, what licenses are OK and what information to include in your image summary
  • Babel guide - Commons is truly international, here's how to handle some multilingual issues
  • Commons FAQ - has some answers to common Commons questions
  • The Community Portal - help us organise and improve our files
  • A Gallery of your images - please correct any that are untagged or orphans (put them in a category)

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Commoner! If you haven't already done so, you might also want to open an account on a Wikipedia in your preferred language, or one of the other Wikimedia projects. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date. If you have any questions, drop a note on the village pump, the Help desk, or contact an administrator. I look forward to your contributions!

your Czechoslovakia linguistic map from 1930s[edit]

The accuracy of your map was challenged 3 years ago (see File_talk:Czechoslovakia_1930_linguistic_map_-_created_2008-10-30.svg), and again now (see [2] and [3]). It would be useful if you answered to these critics. Thanks in advance. --Minorities observer (talk) 22:22, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry for the late reply, I did not log in her for some years. I did not create the map, I just vectorised some jpeg, jpg, png and gif for wiki and this jpg-file (Czechoslovakia1930linguistic.jpg) was one of them. Its content is not my work, only the vectorisation. The creator of the original was "Mariusz Paździora" and it was uploaded by Kiejstut9 in 2008. -- Wimox (talk) 05:42, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notification about possible deletion[edit]

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hello! Could you translate an article about boycott of Russian goods in Ukraine for the German Wikipedia? Thanks for the help.--Trydence (talk) 21:52, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rights to photos[edit]

Hello! I have a questoin about this photo File:Museum of communism in prague 2008-08-06.jpg. You are the author of a photo or a poster and image of en:Matrioshka doll? I need to find the author of image of this Matrioshka doll. Do you know who is that? Maybe the author is the Museum of Communism in Prague? If I do not find the author, admins of Wikimedia Commons can delete this images: File:PTN KhYLO.jpg, File:Матрешка Одесса.jpg, File:Boycott rusia logo.jpg.--Trydence (talk) 02:10, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
