I'll appreciate if you explain me the reasons of nomination for deletion in details. It will be best if you name the exact rule that you used as a reason for deletion. As for me it is strange that the scan copy of whole envelope doesn't violate any rules when the piece of it violates something. // Я буду признателен, если бы вы объясните мне причины выдвижения на удаление по-подробнее. Это будет лучше, если вы назовёте точное правило, которым Вы руководствовались в качестве причины для удаления. Help requested

Can you help smooth out the language gap on these two deletion requests? It feels like communication is like a game of telephone to say the least. Honestly speaking I'm not a lawyer to give authoritative conclusion. The person who nominate both files for deletion stressed that according to Civil Code of Russia it is more important to know when the photo was published (let's imagine that the author is unknown). This photo will become PD only 70 years after the date of publication. In other words even in case when the photo of Nadezhda Volkova was made before 1942 (year of her death) but published for the first time later, for example in 1970, we have to count 70 years starting from 1970. On the other hand Dogad75 only expressed his guessworks and can't prove illegality of your actions. I'm pretty calm about the Nadezhda Volkova's photo - vast majority of Heroes of the Soviet Union (hereinafter - HSS) photos who died before 1943 are considered by Wikimedia Foundation as PD (that's why I voted to keep this file). I'm not so sure about the photo of Sergey Dolinskiy but your evidences seems to be reasonable for me. --Vasyatka1 (talk) 13:02, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
Whenever a decree declaring Heroes of the Soviet Union was passed, newspapers would always publish biographical information about the awardees, both national and local newspapers. "Published" does not just mean "on a website", it also applies to being used in official documents, photocopied and used to create derivatives in the form of stamps+envelopes, etc. And with the information we know about both subjects, their photos would be published in state media and various propagandas to "inspire" others.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 22:47, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

Hello! Thank you for rating of my contribution. Regarding your proposal I think that it wouldn't work in my case. Last 6 years I have hard working schedule (average 12 hours a day). If I ever start such HSS list, most probably I can't finish it (like it was in case of VC's of WWI). I rather start a new (very first) article in English Wikipedia about one of HSS, but I'm embarrassed to make a spelling or style mistake. In turn I'd like to say thank you for your efforts in English Wikipedia in sphere of promotion of our Heroes. --Vasyatka1 (talk) 09:21, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
