Photos Terre Adélie[edit]

Bonjour,

Nous avons été surpris ici de voir que la Terre Adélie, ou les ZSPA n'apparaissent pas dans la liste. Il s'agit quand même d'un espace protégé, et ceux par différents traités ou accord.

De plus, sur l'une des affiches du concours, la photo est tout simplement des manchots Empereurs sur la banquise. Dire que la Terre Adélie ne fait pas partie de la liste, mais la mettre en affiche, il faut avouer que c'est un comble.

La DISTA a été contacté par un ancien DISTA, le même d'ailleurs, du nom de Maxime si mes souvenirs sont bons, en nous demandant si nous participions à ce concours.

Après, oui, la TA n'est qu'une revendication territoriale, mais la France participe tout de même à sa protection.

Concernant la photo avec la chasse-neige. En fait, ce sont des rubans que l'on peut deviner sur la banquise. La chasse-neige se forme lorsque le vent est fort, et chasse tout simplement la neige. Parfois au raz du sol, parfois il s'agit carrément d'un mur de neige. Mais il ne neige pas. C'est juste la neige au sol qui est soufflée.

Pour le Fulmar, ce n'est pas le bon modèle. ici, il s'agit de Fulmars Antarctique ou fulmarus glacialoide. Le fulmarus glacialis est l'espèce qui au nord, et qui est un Fulmar Boréal. C'est comme les aurores, boréales au nord, et australes au sud.

Les photos sont faites pour être utilisées, et comme ça, cela permet de faire connaitre un peu plus les espèces qui vivent ici.

Castillo blanco, I do not well understand your message. All the informations are well given in the description box. This photo is a 1865 one from a unknown photographer but in public domain as the photographer is dead before 1950 (more than 70 yeard old, if he took this picture at 20 or older and do not survived 105 with is a very likely hypothesis) and/or the photo was published before 1923. Catégorisation des signaux routiers par commune[edit]

Bonjour, j'ai en liste de suivi toutes les sous-catégories de Category:Road signs of France by number, et j'ai vu que tu ajoutes et catégorises des photos de panneau. Tu as notamment créé les catégories spécialisées comme Category:Road signs in Vichy - B30‎, probablement sur le modèle de Category:Road signs in Paris - B30‎. Malheureusement, le système de catégorie de Commons ne permet pas de consulter facilement les photos d'une catégorie et de ses sous-catégorie. Il en découle que la catégorisation par commune gène mon travail. Plus généralement, je ne vois pas de pertinence à catégoriser chaque code de signal routier par commune. J'ai catégorisé, et vais sans doute en créer d'autres sur d'autres communes, les panneaux sur la commune de Vichy car cela me permet (pour moi et j'espère pour d'autres) de trouver plus facilement tout ce qui concerne les infrastructures cyclables et piétonnes sur cette commune donc également les panneaux de signalisation, ce qui m'est utile pour le travail que je mène sur les infrastructures cyclables de l'agglomération de Vichy et que j'espère (en motivant d'autres contributeurs) étendre sur d'autres communes françaises. Si suffisamment de photos sur plusieurs communes sur un même département, je pensais même créer la sous-catégorie département par panneau. En quoi cela gène t-il ton travail ? Bonsoir, de mon côté, j'essaie d'illustrer chaque signal avec la meilleure photo. Tu peux voir les liens sur les pages d'illustration dans ma page. Il y a énormément de signaux réglementaires, la catégorie Road signs of France by number en compte 765 et ce n'est pas fini. Certains signaux sont extrêmement rares, voire inexistants (B9e et M4t). J'essaie aussi d'illustrer toutes les variantes réglementaires, comme avec le signal A7 (A7 seul, A7 + J10, A7 + M9z signal automatique, A7 + J10 + M9z signal automatique, A7 + M9a). Je pense d'ailleurs créer à l'occasion des sous-catégories pour les variantes d'usage réglementaire. Pour cela, j'ai besoin de consulter facilement l'ensemble des signaux d'une catégorie. La dispersion dans des catégories communales, si elle était menée à terme, causerait la création de dizaines de milliers de catégories supplémentaires et rendrait infernale la maintenance, et la consultation des signaux d'un code donné.

Heureusement, il existe une hiérarchie parallèle de catégories de signaux qui pourrait t'être très utile, sans fractionner les Road signs of France by number. Je la met en place, tu me diras si elle te convient. Marc Mongenet (talk) 21:22, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Voilà, j'ai ajouté des catégories de signaux par thème dans Category:Road signs in Vichy : category:Cycling-related road signs in Vichy‎, category:Directional road signs in Vichy‎, category:Pedestrian-related road signs in Vichy‎, etc. Comme tu peux voir, cela s'insère dans une hiérarchie de catégories de signaux qui recouvre tous les pays, et qui est en cours de construction (j'ai directement relié Vichy à la France, mais à terme il y aura sûrement un étage départemental). Bonjour,

Je me permet de vous signaler une erreur de personne sur une photo que vous avez posté pour illustrer l'article concernant le Major General Robert C. Macon. En effet, sur la photographie, il s'agit en fait de son adjoint le Brigadier General Claude B. Ferenbaugh. Le Général Macon apparait cependant bien sur la photo d'origine, il se tient à droite du Général Ferenbaugh, on peut voir d'ailleurs un bout de sa main sur la photo que vous avez posté.

I know it's been a long time, but do you have any idea where you got this image? The claim is the image is of Lajes Field. But, there isn't anything about the image that matches the layout of that airbase. The image, as depicted, shows a runway threshold very close to the ocean. There is only one possible place that could be is here, but there's no intersecting road. Further, there's no hard stands near the end of that runway. It simply doesn't match. I could believe things might have changed in the years since this image was taken, but there are differences everywhere in this image relative to how it is now. Everything would have had to have changed. Even the angle of the runway to the ocean front is wrong. On a more minor note, it's puzzling that F-18s would be parked on the hard stands; it's a USAF activity, not a USN one. --Hammersoft (talk) 03:11, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Hammersoft: Yes a long time... I check the day, but it was the only picture I uploaded on Commons this day and no nd I didn't download any the days before or the days after. Ok, I've found other images on .mil sites that are taken from other angles that appear to confirm this image is from Lajes Field (1,2). Bit of an optical illusion, given there's almost a kilometer of land between the end of the runway and the ocean. The land must drop off considerably after the runway ends to disappear from view.
