Koordinate[edit]

Hallo Sumwiki, mir fällt auf, dass du bei deinen Bildern die Koordinatenvorlage für Artikel in der deutschen Wikipedia nutzt. Hallo und danke für den Tipp. Ich selbst habe bis jetzt immer das auf der Seite verlinkten Tool ([1] verwendet.
Allerdings verstehe ich den Unterschied nicht ganz, den es geben soll wenn ich Google Earth nutze. Wenn du das nochmal erklären könntest... :)Sumwiki (talk) 18:26, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Zwei Projekte, zwei verschiedene Vorlagen, ich habe beide Tools z.B. auf meiner Benutzerseite auf de-WP verlinkt und öffne diese nur bei Bedarf. Zwar ergibt die deutsche Vorlage auch hier neuerdings eine Ausgabe, allerdings enthält die Vorlage "article=" (was es nun wirklich nicht trifft) und ich weiß auch nicht, ob sie im Commons-Layer eine Markierung in Google Earth hinterlässt (ähnlich wie bei den Panoramio-Fotos). --Niteshift (talk) 18:32, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transfer de -> Commons[edit]

Auf die Commons übertragene Bilder können in der de-Wikipedia zur Löschung vorgeschlagen werden, indem du die Bildbeschreibung auf DE um ein {{nowcommons}}--~~~~ ergänzt, erst dann würde auch das Bild mit gleichem Dateinamen direkt von den Commons im Artikel eingebunden werden. Damit das Bild auf DE gelöscht werden kann, ist es m.E. noch erforderlich, die selben Lizenzen in den Commons einzutragen, die du auch in DE verwendet hast. Das hieße: {{self|cc-by-3.0}} wäre in {{self|GFDL|cc-by-3.0}} zu ändern. Dann gibt es keine Probleme. --Niteshift (talk) 21:00, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kein Problem, man kann ja unmöglich alle Regeln erahnen und erfassen, sehe meine Hinweise bitte deshalb auch nicht als schulmeisterisch an :). Das mit dem Löschen der Datei auf DE kann mitunter dauern, hier ist die Warteschleife. --Niteshift (talk) 14:44, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Statt die Problemmeldung einfach wegzulöschen, hättest du 1) bemerken sollen, dass du die falsche Lizenz angegeben hast (CC-BY-SA 3.0 statt CC-BY-SA 3.0-de) und 2) dass weiterhin unklar ist, wer als Autor angegeben werden soll, "Tobias M. Eckrich", wie es im EXIF-Datensatz steht, oder "DerUnterstrich", was immer das heißen soll. Da die Autorennennung in der "vom Autor gewünschten Weise" das Essential der CC-BY-Lizenzen ist, ist diese Frage nicht banal. --Túrelio (talk) 15:16, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Danke, dass du die Lizenzangabe verfeinert hast. Was den Autorenamen angeht, so habe ich den richtigen Namen im EXIF-Wust des Piratenwikis leider nicht gesehen und mich somit auf den Nickname beschränkt. How to ask for speedy-delete of an empty category[edit]

When you want to ask for speedy-delete of an empty category, best practice is to mark it with {{SD|C2}} if it would be OK to re-create it in the future, given that appropriate content becomes available or {{SD|C1}} if it is an inappropriate category name that should not be reused. In particular, this is better practice than just blanking the category page, as you did at Category:Röbel/Müritz photographs taken on 2015-09-29.
