SVG images on Wikia[edit]
Hi. I want to use these images on Wikia:
I uploaded them to Wikia, but they aren't showing up right:
- http://cannabis.wikia.com/wiki/File:US_timeline._Prescription_opioid_pain_reliever_deaths.svg
I know that Wikia sometimes handles SVG images differently from how Wikimedia software does. But is there a change you could make to allow the images to be used on Wikia? Thanks for the SVG images. --Timeshifter (talk) 15:58, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- I've added a white background layer - let me know if you have an issues with it. I'm not a Wikia user so I don't know what may be specific to that platform. — soupvector (talk) 17:29, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks! That solved the problem on Wikia. I uploaded the new versions there. --Timeshifter (talk) 15:39, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
2015 charts[edit]
Please see:
At the bottom of that page please see:
- https://www.drugabuse.gov/sites/default/files/national-overdose-deaths-2015.ppt
I uploaded these 2015 charts that don't yet have SVG versions:
- File:US timeline. Number of overdose deaths from all drugs.jpg
- File:Overdose Deaths Involving Opioids, United States, 2000-2015.jpg
--Timeshifter (talk) 04:13, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- On the source page there is an updated version of the chart "Number of Deaths from Prescription Opioid Pain Relievers". Its subtitle may confuse people though.
- The relevant charts on the Commons are categorized here:
- Category:Drug-related death statistics
- --Timeshifter (talk) 05:02, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
Unindent. I uploaded some more .jpg charts so that the charts now have the 2015 columns. You can see which ones by clicking on and opening the charts found here: Category:Drug-related death statistics. Those chart pages also list the Wikipedia articles they are found in.
May need to refresh your cache on some chart and article pages in order to see 2015 columns.

Windows: ctrl + F5 Mac/Apple: Apple + R or command + R Linux: F5
Thanks for your SVG charts. --Timeshifter (talk) 16:15, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

Copyright status: File:Deidre Crews 2020-Nov.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Deidre Crews 2020-Nov.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |
