SVGs by language[edit]

Hi SUM1,

may you please put your great language maps of Africa in the Category:SVG maps in English if applicable?

Thank you and done. SUM1 (talk) 18:36, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Turkmenistan[edit]

Thanks for fixing the audio file of the Turkmen national anthem. I've contacted the CIA about the outdated version on their World Factbook website and they in turn contacted the U.S. Navy Band, who said that they'll look at making an updated version, as the version on their website is reportedly from 1998. Hopefully we can replace the interim makeshift version with it soon. – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 19:47, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

About SRY .png[edit]

I'm not sure if this is how to answer someone here, but anyway, i made this in C4D, i got the models from Uniprot, and imported the PDB into C4D using a plugin called ePMV, and that's all :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by AtikaAtikawa (talk • contribs) 22:05, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@AtikaAtikawa: You are doing great work. I always wondered where people got the models for proteins that don't have images yet, now I realise it's all on UniProt. Thank you. By the way, type 4 tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments to sign them. SUM1 (talk) 00:05, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ethiopian map[edit]

Hello, SUM1. Could you update File:Map of zones of Ethiopia.svg? According to the UN, there are more zones now. I tried to do it myself but my system can barely handle the large vector files. And if possible could you also make a district map as well? Thanks. Ue3lman (talk) 23:07, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ue3lman: Thanks for letting me know. I've updated the map for 2021. A district map would be difficult for the whole of Ethiopia given how small they would be, so it would be more appropriate to make district maps for each zone or region, but I unfortunately don't have the time to do this, especially given how often they're changing. · • SUM1 • · (talk) 15:00, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SUM1: Thanks! I'll try to do the district maps myself then. I have a question though on how you're able to map out the zone/region boundaries. Do you import them from the svg/pdf file (UN map) or do you trace over them? Ue3lman (talk) 20:51, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ue3lman: I import images or screenshots into a top layer with 50% opacity and trace over them on another layer, then I upload a copy without the template layer. · • SUM1 • · (talk) 02:50, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request for update[edit]

Hello dear SUM1, could you update this file? Current changes in Administrative divisions were not included. SNNPR was dissolved and replaced by two regions namely South Ethiopia Regional State and Central Ethiopia Regional State. Within the later region East Gurage, Kebena Special Woreda, Mareko Special Woreda and Tembaro Special Woreda were established. Within the former region Ari Zone was established. If you get time it's better to update the file. Thank you! Kehaa (talk) 16:54, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Kehaa: Hello. I've completed the update. · • SUM1 • · (talk) 22:39, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SUM1: Thank you. Well done! Kehaa (talk) 20:03, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wolayta Zone Map[edit]

Hi dear, could you create Wolayita Zone map including woredas and city administrations within it. I think these sources can help you;

One and
Two.

Look the above two sources together. The first one is very clear but it consists of 12 districts. The second one is updated and consists of 16 districts but it is not clearly drawn. If both are seen together, they may give some clue for sketching map. Thank you! Kehaa (talk) 20:29, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
