Mapa de Tesalia

Hola, Rowanwindwhistler: quería comentarte algunas cosas con respecto al mapa File:Tessaglia classica map-es.svg. Primero, pedirte si, cuando tengas tiempo, puedes corregir algunos topónimos: Olizón, Ftiótide, Etea, Págasas, Bebeide y Nesónide. Lo más problemático, sin embargo, lo veo en relación a los ríos (cuyas transcripciones que he visto en fuentes en español son Pamiso, Titaresio, Cuario, Apídano, Onocono), porque en el mapa algunos de los ríos de la cuenca del Peneo aparecen con recorridos extraños, que concuerdan bastante poco con los cursos de agua de mapas como este: File:Greece large topographic basemap.svg. Ignoro si el motivo pudiera ser que los cursos de agua de la Antigüedad son diferentes a los actuales, pero me extrañaría mucho. Además, la identificación de alguno de ellos parece incorrecta; por ejemplo, Tempe, que yo sepa, es el nombre de un valle y no de un río (de hecho, ese sería en realidad el Titaresio, pero con un recorrido diferente); con respecto al Tauropo, si no estoy confundido, no pertenece a la cuenta del Peneo; y sobre el Apídano, también tengo dudas. En definitiva, pienso que sería un mapa mejor si se pudieran retirar todos los cursos de los ríos de ese mapa.Dodecaedro (talk) 22:41, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

Hola. Sobre lo que me comentas, unas aclaraciones:
  • Cambiar los nombres que me indicas es sencillo, lo puedo hacer fácilmente.
  • El mapa es en realidad una traducción algo retocada del italiano que a su vez deriva de otro. Los cursos de los ríos provienen de ahí (no creo haberlos tocado) así que, si están mal en el original, pues también lo están en el mapa en español, claro... Tampoco tengo idea de si el curso de los ríos ha cambiado desde la antigüedad o no. Se me ocurren dos posibilidades:
    • La sencilla: cambiar los nombres y borrar u ocultar los ríos. Esto se hace rápidamente, pero perdemos todos los ríos, naturalmente (que no sé si importan en este caso o no).
    • La compleja: crear un mapa nuevo usando para los ríos y los lagos los datos de Grecia (es lo más detallado en vectorial que conozco), que son los modernos, claro. Con la ubicación de las poblaciones y de los picos no habría problema (en principio, si se conocen su latitud y longitud, que supongo que sí). Los ríos tendrían que ser los que aparezcan en el fichero griego del mapa que te indico, que no sé si son todos los del mapa original (a lo mejor hay menos porque solo estén los principales) y los territorios tendría que crearlos a mano alzada porque no veo en los mapas originales la proyección para hacer un calco, así que el resultado sería aproximado. Eso sí, tendríamos una localización más precisa de las poblaciones, los picos, los lagos, los ríos (que estén en los datos oficiales griegos) y las costas. Si los límites se pudiesen sacar más o menos de un mapa topográfico como este (y no sé si es más o menos lo mismo lo que se representa en los dos mapas), la probabilidad de trazar los límites de regiones con más precisión que a ojo aumentaría... Esta opción requiere más labor y sería más lenta, claro.

Lo de borrar los ríos en el mapa que te he comentado yo creo que habría que hacerlo de todas formas. La necesidad de que figuren es relativa; depende de lo que se quiera ilustrar. El que nos ocupa no es que ese sea un gran mapa pero al menos tiene la virtud de reflejar de forma aproximada las distintas divisiones de Tesalia y las regiones limítrofes en la Antigüedad y para eso los ríos no son esenciales.
Sobre lo de hacer otro mapa: yo personalmente ahora mismo no tengo una gran necesidad de un mapa para ilustrar alguno de los artículos que he redactado, puesto que para las ciudades hice este, y, para los ríos de la Antigüedad, este. Sí sería un reto interesante crear uno de los ríos más completo, pero no sería nada sencillo hacerlo con rigor, porque la identificación de los nombres de los ríos antiguos con los actuales, en general no ofrece problemas en los ríos principales, pero sí la de los secundarios. De hecho en el mapa de los ríos que hice me arriesgué a incluir una identificación del Apídano basándome en otro mapa (este), pero ahora no estoy seguro que sea del todo fiable. Por poner otro ejemplo, el Titaresio es el nombre de un afluente del Peneo en la actualidad, pero los especialistas no se ponen de acuerdo acerca de si el Titaresio que nombra Homero fue correcta o incorrectamente identificado por Estrabón.Dodecaedro (talk) 18:55, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Bueno, como cambiar el texto y quitar los ríos era cosa de un momento, lo he cambiado ya (espero no haberme equivocado...). Lo otro veo que quizá no valga mucho la pena, al menos la parte de los ríos. Se podría hacer un mapa de regiones con la topografía aunque, como te comentaba antes, sería aproximado, pero bueno, quizá en mejor ocasión cuando tengamos necesidad de él porque meter topografía lleva su labor...--Rowanwindwhistler (talk) 20:00, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

Hola, Rowanetc. En ese mapa has llamado «Alagón» (que es el nombre de un municipio de Zaragoza) a lo que es un río y se llama «Aragón», como el reino y hoy comunidad autónoma. He intentado cambiarlo con Inkscape, pero he visto que has convertido las letras en trazados, lo que lo hace para mí imposible el cambio. ¿Puedes corregirlo? Hola. Ya está cambiado. Por si hay que cambiar algo más, el texto verdadero está en una capa oculta. Para cambiarlo basta con borrar la de texto falso (los trazos), activar la capa oculta, cambiar lo que sea necesario, ocultarla de nuevo, hacer un duplicado y transformar este a trazos (por un problema que tiene la enciclopedia para mostrar bien el texto, si no no sería menester). I am afraid I do not quite understand what you mean. The file is a completely self-made version based on the one mentioned in the Sources section (Horn1915ad fin.png) and the revert has nothing to do with sources but with the quality of the file (just compare the first and last versions and you will see what I mean.--Rowanwindwhistler (talk) 17:18, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
