Hi Pymouss,

please note that this table is being updated by a script: Commons:Wikipedians in European Parliament/Lists of articles. So your manual changes are both a lot of hard work that is not neccessary to do and subject to be overwritten. I have though noted that there was a mistake in the Commons categories and have changed my script accordingly, so this doesn't happen again. Also I see that you have changed a Wikidata entity of a MEP, I am going to change this as well in my Excel sheet which is the source for my script.

I will run the script again soon and then update the table on that page.

Thanks for your hints for mistakes!

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Dear Pymouss,

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

  • In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
  • In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

  1. 157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
  2. In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
  3. In third place, 131 people voted for an image of a swallow flying and drinking.

Tout d'abord, merci pour le boulot de vérification que tu fais pour WLM 2014 : ton aide est très précieuse. Même si on a un peu moins de photos cette année que l'an passé, ça demande quand même du temps de traiter tout ça.

J'ai juste une petite remarque à te faire après avoir vu ce diff. ND de la Garde à Marseille fait partie des monuments non historiques les plus célèbres de France, avec son alter ego le Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre. Dans ces cas-là, je retire du concours ces images et donc j'enlève le modèle {{Wiki Loves Monuments 2014}} et j'avertis le participant (si j'estime qu'il de bonnes chance de lire sa PU, comme c'est le cas ici).

N'hésite pas à vérifier sur les listes de WP, même si ça te semble évident qu'un monument est un MH. Honnêtement, à part ces deux-là, il n'y a pas de grosse surprise : la basilique de Fourvière est bien un MH, tout comme la « nouvelle » Major de Marseille, ainsi que la plupart de ces volumineuses églises de la fin du XIXe.

Wiki loves monuments 2014[edit]

Salut Fab,

Souvent en validant les images pour le concours WLMFr2014, il m'est arrivé d'être agréablement surpris que des plus ou moins nouveaux-venus catégorisent aussi bien les images qu'ils partagent. Je me suis vite aperçu que c'était le plus souvent toi qui avait fait cet ingrat boulot.

Mais de rien, il faut bien occuper ses longues soirées ;).
Je m'étais attelé depuis quelques temps à la vérification des catégories/images de la Category:Bretagne. Je me suis déjà occupé des trois départements occidentaux (avant de m'attaquer à l'Ille-et-Vilaine prochainement (probablement après WLM). Et depuis, je garde un œil sur les nouveautés.
Il faut reconnaître que c'est quand même désespérant de retrouver les mêmes contributeurs qui ne catégorisent pas convenablement... Ah, petit détail, n'aurais-t-on pas pu "obliger" à indiquer la référence Mérimée dans le téléversement WLM ? Je remarque que celle-ci est souvent absente... WLM : problème avec un fichier[edit]

Bonjour Pymouss, j'ai signalé le problème sur le bistro mais tu ne l'as peut-être pas vu. Tu as décatégorisé l'image sans intervenir sur le reste, alors que la coupole n'est pas un monument historique. Peut-on considérer que le fichier a été versé dans le cadre du concours, et surtout peut-il être maintenu comme image du jour du 6 septembre?
