Images "Collection personnelle Bertrand Bouret"[edit]

Bonjour,

Il y a quelques problèmes avec certaines de tes images, notamment celles qui portent la mention "Collection personnelle Bertrand Bouret".

  • Il faudrait savoir qui est Bertrand Bouret ; est-ce toi, ou un ami ? Qu'est-ce qui permet de dire que Bertrant Bouret est d'accord pour que les images de sa collection aillent sur Commons (il n'y a aucune mention sur http://profburp.com/ )
  • Qui est l'auteur des images de la collection de Bertrand Bouret ? Ceci permet de répondre à deux questions :
    • Quel droits Bertrand Bouret a-t-il sur les images ? Le fait de posséder une oeuvre ne donne pas de droits dessus (par exemple si j'achète un Picasso, les droits de reproduction etc. restent à ses héritiers ; si j'achète un Delacroix, les droits sont dans le domaine public même si je possède le tableau comme objet physique).
    • La licence sur Image:La Goulette ahmed bey.jpg (par exemple) est-elle valide ? Pour le moment, la licence dit que l'oeuvre est dans le domaine public parce que l'auteur est mort depuis plus de 70 ans, mais ceci n'a aucun sens si l'auteur n'est pas mentionné. L'image est datée de 1900, il est donc très possible que les droits d'auteur courent toujours (la musique de l'Internationale est toujours sous droit d'auteur, par exemple).

Par exemple, dans [1], tu mentionnes "l'une est de mon arrière grand père mort en 1903" : c'est un cas où effectivement le copyright est échu, il n'y a donc aucun problème (mais il faudrait mentionner le nom de l'arrière grand père artiste et sa date de décès).

Désolé si je t'ai paru sec, le strict respect des lois est ce qui fait la force de Commons, et il arrive que les gens envoient des images par plaisanterie ou par méconnaissance des règles — visiblement ça n'est pas ton cas. la mise à disposition de ces archives, MOSAIQUE FILMS s'engage à faire apparaitre mon nom au générique de fin du film et à me fournir un dvd du  film.

Non non, ça n'est pas si compliqué:
Par exemple, pour Image:La Goulette ahmed bey.jpg, une mention nécessaire et suffisante serait : "La Goulette Tunisie La place Ahmed Bey vers 1900 ; photographie de Nom Prénom (date de naissance - date de décès) ; source : Collection personnelle Bertrand Bouret http://profburp.com". Et le tag approprié, en l'occurence {{PD-old}}.
L'important, ici, est de fournir à Commons des arguments pour justifier la licence, le cas échéant ; si je dis "cette photo est GFDL", il faut mentionner "je suis l'auteur" -- parce que cela implique "c'est moi qui l'ai faite et, comme titulaire des droits, je décide de publier l'image sous cette licence". Si l'on dit "cette photo est trop vieille pour faire l'objet d'un copyright", il faut pouvoir dire "parce que ça fait plus de 70 ans que l'auteur est mort. Mais, comme tu vois, ça peut se faire de façon concise
Parfois les gens se font des idées un peu extravagantes du "domaine public" : j'en ai vu pour qui si l'auteur était mort l'oeuvre serait tombée dans le domaine public ; d'autre pour qui une oeuvre publiée il y a plus de 70 ans était dans le DP ; et même certains pour qui "si l'oeuvre est visible partout", elle serait DP... Avec des vieilles photos, c'est particulièrement pernicieux, parce qu'une photo publiée en 1880 peut très bien être encore sous copyright (mettons que l'auteur ait eu 20 ans, soit mort à 80 ans en 1960, l'oeuvre est protégée jusqu'en 2030...) ; dans la majorité des cas ça n'est évidemment pas le cas, mais sur Commons, il faut pouvoir prouver que nos images sont bien libres, et nous sommes forcés de contrarier des gens pleins de bonne volonté qui voudraient les contribuer.

Mais si, c'est compliqué et plus que tu ne le penses. Par exemple, à quelques degrés près, Image:La Goulette ahmed bey.jpg est une carte postale de Neurdein. Je le sais parce que j'ai l'histoire de cette photo dans mon héritage. Je fais quoi moi de ce patrimoine qui ne m'appartient que par héritage mais qui concerne toute une nation? Je le garde dans des cartons que mes enfant jetteront quand je serai mort?
Essayez de comprendre, vous les jeunes cow-boys du web, que pour nous les vieux porteurs de mémoire, la seule chose qui compte, c'est d'ouvrir les portes.
A 60 ans passés, j'en apprend tous les jours pour transmettre ce que je sais aux héritiers de ce passé, les seuls qui comptent à mes yeux. Je croyais que Wikipedia pouvait faire mieux que mes sites pour transmettre cette mémoire dans la continuité.
Je m'ai trompé. Tant pire pour moi. Ou tant mieux. J'aurai plus de temps pour penser à mon cancer. Bertrand 12:15, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Statue du cardinal de Lavigerie[edit]

Bonjour, je viens de faire un article sur Wikipedia relatif au sculpteur élie-Jean Vézien qui a fait pour la ville de Tunis, une sculpture du cardinal de la Vigerie. Savez-vous si la photo celle-ci que vous avez prise (ou la carte postale) représentant une statue de ce cardinal, concerne bien celle qui a été sculptée par le sculpteur Vézien.   • D'après le guide bleu 1950, il s'agit bien de la statue de Vézien. Transportée dans les jardins de la cathédrale de Carthage après l'indépendance, elle a été détruite par maladresse par les Pères Blancs en juillet 1964 à cause de la panique qui régnait pour respecter les délais de reprise de la cathédrale par l'état tunisien. Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

  • In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
  • In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

  1. 157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
  2. In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
  3. In third place, 131 people voted for an image of a swallow flying and drinking.
