Template creation

Hello, and sorry for the intrusion, but I was wondering if you'd be able to help me in the creation of a certain heraldic template for Wikimedia Commons? If it's not too much trouble of course? Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 02:58, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

Pbrks Thanks for replying. Well, I was hoping to have an SVG template created of the particular lion seen on the following Arms seen here, but not of the whole Arms itself (and for the record, the Arms is that of Sir William Marshall, a 12th Century English knight, and a few different versions of it with differently drawn lions already appear on Wikimedia, such as here and here, as well as various other places online). Sure, I know there are a lot of rampant lion templates on WC already, as seen here, but I genuinely don't think it would hurt to have another one (and because I do intend to use this particular lion as part of a certain other request some time in the future). @Pbrks: Actually, there is something else now that I think of it; Perhaps the File should have a more "neutral" name, if you will, as in without "Marshal" in it? It's just that there are various different renditions of the WM Arms all over Google Images as well as on Wikimedia Commons already, all with different looking red lions, hence this particular lion design isn't really "exclusive" to WM. Now, I'm certainly no stranger to requesting File Renaming myself of course, but since I'm no expert on heraldic terminology, I was perhaps hoping you could come up with something more professional than what I'd be able to come up with. Because the best I'd probably be able to produce is something like "Heraldic Lion Rampant - Red", as flimsy as I'm sure that sounds. Sorry about this. @Pbrks: Thanks for that, and yes, now that I think of it, the title "Red" would certainly do as well as any. And thanks again for taking on this request of mine. And actually, while we're here; I don't want to sound presumptuous or anything, but how would you feel if I were to approach you some time in the future, about a request that involves placing the lion you created within certain flags/arms (and this request would also, if it's okay, involve other flags/arms that are connected to the lion ones, if that even makes any sense). Maybe in a week or so? Or a lot later? Or would you prefer not to at all? And of course I'd understand if you didn't. But anyway, thanks yet again for your help with this File. Much appreciated. Flag and Arms alterations

@Pbrks: Thanks for the reply. Well, what I had I mind was replacing the lion from all the below flags and arms' (which are all related to the Chronicles of Narnia book series) with the exact template you created recently on my behalf (thanks for that) recently. You see, I actually requested the creation of all these emblems in the Graphics Lab nearly two years ago now, choosing the exact lion template for them myself. However, another User commented on the Talk Page of the first shield, saying that most other lions featured on other WC emblems have "cleaner, simpler outlines", while this one is rather detailed. And in hindsight, I'm inclined to agree. And I do think your recently created lion template would be more ideal for all of them. Now, if you do decide to do this, I'd probably recommend altering the below files, rather than outright creating new ones, as other versions of these flags/arms' already exist on WC, so I figure it would be unnecessary to have a third set. And perhaps the reflective gradient could be removed from each of the shields as well, so that they match the exact shades of their respective flag versions? I know the silver one doesn't have a flag counterpart to match, but the precise shade of silver can be left up to interpretation. Oh, and I'd also request that the thin black borders be removed from the two green shields, as there's really no need for them. Now of course, this is all if you decide to do this task of course, because I know this is somewhat of a handful. But I'd certainly appreciate it if you could.
