Thank you for uploading some images! Did you know that Wikimedia Commons recommends the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format for certain types of images? Scalable Vector Graphics are designed to look appropriate at any scale, and SVG images are easier to modify and translate, helping Wikimedia to distribute knowledge to all of the world. A lot of modern programs support SVG export. If you encountered problems or have questions, don't hesitate to ask me, a member of the Graphic Lab, or the Graphics village pump. Uploading images in SVG format isn't mandatory, but it would help. (To avoid any misunderstandings, please don't just put raster images into an SVG container as embedded raster.) Thanks, and happy editing!

Can you update File:Countries_banning_conversion_therapy.svg now that Colorado has banned it? (31 May 2019)[edit]

Hello Numberguy6,

Since you were someone who helped update the file File:Countries_banning_conversion_therapy.svg in the past, I was wondering if you could help update it since the state of Colorado has now banned it as of 31 May 2019 (two days after Maine). Colorado would need to be blue (instead of only having a blue dot at Denver). w:en:Conversion therapy uses this image, but it's not been updated yet. Thanks! Hi before renaming the file can you confirm that it is because the intention is to have a constantly updated map? If yes, the descriptions should also be updated and what about this file? --Samuele2002 (Talk!) 16:10, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I did intend it to be constantly updated. The Serbo-Croatian version is unnecessary and can be deleted. --Numberguy6 (talk) 16:57, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have updated the description. The Serbo-Croatian version has tooltips in Serbo-Croatian, but I don't know if that warrants its own file. --Numberguy6 (talk) 17:01, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Primate city map[edit]

Hello Numberguy6,

I wanted to message you in regard to the world map you created, in which all countries that don't possess a primate city are highlited in the color red, in particular the Russian Federation.

As a russian, I always found it obvious that Moscow is considered a primate city, given the profound influence which the city has (had) over the political decisions and the cultural landscape of the country, so I was very surprised to see that the Russian Federation was highlited in your map. After I've done a short research, it seems to me that Moscow fits all the parameters needed to be considered a primate city, and the few authors who wrote specialist literature on this topic seem to be holding the same opinion.

At first I thought that the misunderstanding has arisen because you only counted the population inside the city limits, and not inside the metropolitan area. However, you included Japan, which lead me to believe that the method you used included the metropolitan area as well.

Because of the aforementioned reason, I would like to ask you whether it would be possible to change the version of the map which is currently shown on the wiki page "Primate City". I would gladly engage in further discussion on this matter. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2A02:8109:B5BF:E9A8:EC4D:507F:8B6C:C0E (talk) 17:23, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to this, could you add a legend to your file so we know what definition you use? Is it "the biggest city being twice as large as the second-biggest"? Accordingly, I added the clarify tag in the Wikipedia article Many thanks --Trimton (talk) 11:54, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Antarctica in visa policy maps[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you have been converting the visa policy maps to SVG format. The PNG maps didn't show Antarctica because the image was cut at 60°S, and I suppose that you wanted to show the same image in SVG. But erasing Antarctica while keeping a blank space for latitudes >60°S in the image looks bad, as if Antarctica doesn't exist. If you make more maps, please either cut the image at 60°S or keep Antarctica shown. Thanks. Heitordp (talk) 01:14, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update request[edit]

Hello.

Can you update the maps File:World Metro systems.svg and File:World Metro systems.png? In both maps which are extensively used, Nigeria, Pakistan and Vietnam need to be colored in green, because each country has a metro network. Likewise, in both maps, Serbia needs to be colored in yellow, because the construction of the Belgrade Metro was started in November 2021.

File:Sputnik V countries.svg requires updating.

Estimado amigo Numberguy6: He llegado a tu página desde Sputnik V countries.svg.
