Penises and commons[edit]
Wikimedia Commons is not an amateur porn site[edit]
One or more of your recent contributions has been identified by another Commons user as a possible image not in Commons' scope. Commons has guidelines on nudity, as a result of already having a large number of photos of genitalia, specifically the male reproductive system and the penis.
If you have objections to the proposed deletion of your image(s), please see the links to the relevant deletion discussion(s) (listed above or below this message box). This message is not intended to be taken personally. Thank you for your understanding.-mattbuck (Talk) 19:24, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Ok, well that is at least kind of a reply huh?
But I'm going to put it up until I get a better reason for it's removal or it gets deletion in a normal manner not rush deleted.
Let's look over the nopenis reasons given:
Thank you for your interest in contributing to Commons, a not-for-profit media repository with the primary scope of providing educational and informative images and media. Submissions that are low-quality,
Ok, stop there, that is one point I can partly agree with, clearly the photos are not to a professional quality and one is a bit out of focus, if that is the reason it is being deleted then Ok, though I find that a little odd as it is an excellent example and the quality isn't bad just not high.
do not fall into Commons' scope
Clearly it is within scope, there are plenty of images proving this including comparisons of flaccid and erect penises, but none come close to being as instructive of the ability for the penis to grow.
self-promotional vanity images may be subject to deletion.
The idea of vanity is a bit odd due to the annonmous quality of this submission, however assuming vanity is still possible then I think the left shot takes that claim away, there are men likely classified as having micropenises that are larger when flaccid. Can you seriously make a vanity claim in this example? Not to mention clearly I'm obese.
So if I don't get a reason, an actual thought out human written reason for this image and why it is not acceptible here then I will reupload it, I don't think that is too much to ask.
Also note that it is in use on the penis size article and talk page

That was what I was looking for, and then some. Aether22 (talk) 22:37, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

- Hello,
- This is the last warning. Please do not upload the image again. If you don't agree with the opinion from 3 administrators please make a request on COM:UNDEL. If you will upload it again you will lose your right to contribute on Commons for 3 days. Abigor talk 20:26, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Tip: Categorizing images[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 06:04, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Myone. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Myone~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
