Hi Moala,

can you please check, where on the source of Image:Roger Federer.jpg the licence cc-by-sa-2.5 is stated? I cannot find it. Thank you. --Raymond Disc. 17:41, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A friend of mine made this photograph (source link mentioned in image info, i.e. Alvas); I asked him to release it under this (cc) license, and that's what he did, for me, for Wikimedia's projects, and for every human (great ideologies). --Moala 14:01, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Moala, as you may have seen, Image:Roger Federer.jpg has been tagged for deletion due to copyvio-suspicion again (not by me). That's hardly surprising with such a professional looking photo as there is no proof or evidence for the license by the original photographer, even not on the source website. Therefore, you should ask your friend, the photographer, for a written permission. Just take the permission text from Commons:Email templates (also available in french), fill in the image URL on Commons, add the license name, mail that to the photographer and ask him to mail it back to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org.
You might also add the standard description template to the image. Cheers --Túrelio (talk) 07:01, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'm requesting it to my friend. Moala (talk) 07:14, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Was there any progress, please? This image is going to be deleted soon if not. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 21:07, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No answer from him, no mean to contact him. Let's respect the guidelines :-( Moala (talk) 21:44, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
