Matt (talk) 07:33, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Silica.jpg and Silica.svg

Hello, you recently altered the image Silica.svg to add a fourth silica atom. I understand why you have done this, however, the silica.svg file is supposed to be an exact copy of the silica.jpg file (only in svg format). It is therefore no longer correct. Would it be possible to revert the silica.svg file back to its original state (as a higher quality version of silica.jpg) and then upload your new image as a new file with a different name. I am the author of silica.jpg and it is a correct 2D representation of the atomic structure of amorphous silica. I don't think the addition of a fourth atom is necessary. If someone wants to upload a 3D representation of the structure then that is fine but it should not overwrite the original silica.jpg or silica.svg file. Thanks. Jdrewitt (talk) 08:45, 1 January 2010 (UTC) P.S. Happy New Year.

I reverted silica.svg to its original version. Please feel free to upload your new version but with a different file name, e.g. silica2.svg. Thanks, Jdrewitt (talk) 09:51, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Category:Victims of animal exploitation has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Commons-Transfers per Bot

Hallo Matthias. Vielen Dank für deine Hilfe beim Commons-Transfers. Ist dir diese IMHO effizientere Methode bekannt? --Leyo 11:28, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Stimmt, da spart man schon ein paar Klicks, danke. Matt (talk) 21:10, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
--Leyo 12:59, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

FOTW images are not generally allowed to be uploaded to Commons (see Commons:Bad_sources#Flags_of_the_World), with the exception of those by Jaume Olle (who has given special permission). AnonMoos (talk) 14:41, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

I simply drew a SVG with Inkscape File:Flagge-Leimuiden.svg as a replacement. Matt (talk) 17:39, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Re: Nachweisreaktionen / Auftragsarbeit

Hey,

Schönen Gruß und viel Erfolg noch!

CommonsHelper

I have stoped uploading to commons for a while, but thanks for advice. --Magul (talk) 17:44, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

File:50koerner.jpg

Matt (talk) 10:31, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Bixin.svg

Can you please specify your concerns about File:Bixin.svg which you tagged with {{Disputed chem}}? I believe that it matches the chemical structure of the trans-isomer of bixin. Thank you. Edgar181 (talk) 19:32, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Ah, trans-Bixin [1], my mistake, sorry. Matt (talk) 19:40, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for taking a second look. Edgar181 (talk) 20:58, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Icons

Beschneiden

Hallo Matthias. IMHO hast du File:Naclfrenkeldefect.svg, File:Naclschottkydefect.svg und File:Nacllattice.svg zu stark beschnitten. Etwas Rand sollte schon noch bleiben. --Leyo 15:51, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Bragg.svg

Hi, Matthias. In the Bragg.svg picture I saw many angles marked, but for the Bragg formula, only theta is taken. Please, consider removing alpha and delta from the graphics, as they only make information noise. Perhaps one needs the two angles in other articles that call the Bragg.svg, but I'm not sure. --JPFen (talk) 21:19, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

It was initially created for wikipedia:de:Bragg-Gleichung#Herleitung. Please don't remove anything. Matt (talk) 04:59, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

The factual accuracy of the chemical structure File:Sweet receptor + glucose.svg is disputed

Dispute notification The chemical structure File:Sweet receptor + glucose.svg you uploaded has been tagged as disputed and is now listed in Category:Disputed chemical diagrams. Images in this category are deleted after one month if there is no upload of a corrected version and if there is no objection from the uploader or other users. In all cases, please do not take the dispute personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! --Leyo 22:48, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Should be resolved now. Matt (talk) 12:25, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

--Leyo 20:06, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
