Vorlage für Bilder, die durch TeX ersetzt werden sollten

Hallo Matthias. Ich habe gesehen, dass du bei zwei Bildern „Low quality chem“ ergänzt hast, weil sie durch TeX ersetzt werden sollten. Was hältst du von einer eigenen Vorlage („Template:Convert to TeX“) dafür? In Category:Image cleanup templates habe ich jedenfalls nichts dergleichen gefunden. Ich habe Template:Use TeX erstellt und an File:Fotolisis de agua.jpg getestet. Es funktioniert aber noch nicht so wie es sollte. Matt (talk) 09:09, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Sollte das Icon nicht von LaTeX auf TeX geändert werden?
  • Soll man eine Unterkategorie für Bilder einrichten, für welche ein TeX-Code angegeben ist (oder auch vice versa)?

This is just a name harmonization, as it is in use for widely translated files: basename remains the same, only the language prefix changes. Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hi, ich bin Autor der ursprünglichen Grafik, welche Du bearbeitet hast (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Engelmannscher_Bakterienversuch.svg) Da ich ein OpenSource Biologiebuch schreibe (www.hoffmeister.it), und dort ausschließlich meine sowie public domain Grafiken verwende, wäre es schön, wenn Du meine ursprüngliche public domain Lizenz beibehalten würdest (und nicht einfach heraufstufst!) - und die CCLizenz wieder ändern würdest. Ich denke, das gebietet auch die Fairness! Danke für Dein Engagement Lanzi (talk) 17:15, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Inwiefern bereitet die CC-Lizenz Probleme? "Namensnennung/Weitergabe unter gleichen Bedingungen" ist ja nicht sonderlich restriktiv. Die Lizenz geht konform mit den Open-Content-Richtlinien und ist immer noch für das Open-Source Biologiebuch geeignet, selbst wenn du es kommerziell vertreiben möchtest. Es verkompliziert leider alles ein wenig. Weil ich mich um eine weitere Lizenz kümmern muss. Abgesehen finde ich es nicht fair, meine Arbeit neu zu lizensieren. Warum möchtest Du die Lizenz beibehalten? Gibt es Gründe dafür? Lanzi (talk) 19:27, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Der Verzicht auf Copyleft birgt schon die Gefahr, dass jemand wieder ein herkömmliches Copyright anwendet und seine Verbesserungen der Grafik nicht ebenfalls wieder an Wikipedia zurückfließen lässt. Wenn ich eine Grafik lediglich übersetze oder Kleinigkeiten ändere, behalte ich für gewöhnlich die komplette Rechteabgabe, die der Autor gewählt hat bei, auch wenn so eine Lizenz nicht selber wählen würde.
An dieser Stelle ist jedoch viel dazu gekommen, so dass ich eine eigene Lizenz, die meinen eigenen ethischen Ansprüchen genügt, für gerechtfertigt halte. Zudem bin ich nicht mehr der alleinige Autor des Bildes, es wurde bereits von jemand anderem überarbeitet. Du wirst auch fairerweise als Autor genannt, obwohl du selbst darauf verzichtest. Die CC-Lizenz ist recht einfach zu handhaben. Ich kann z.B. anbieten, dass ein Link zurück auf die Bildbeschreibungsseite bei Commons genügt um "den Namen des Autors/Rechteinhabers in der von ihm festgelegten Weise nennen." Ein kompletter Abdruck der Lizenz (wie bei der GNU FDL) wird nicht verlangt, ein Link genügt. Selbst da reicht (in meinen Augen) wohl auch der Link zu Commons, da dort ja die Lizenz genannt und verlinkt ist.
Ich war auf www.hoffmeister.it und habe mir die GNU FDL Schulbücher angeschaut. Ich halte eine Veröffentlichung auf Wikibooks für sinnvoll um sie einem größeren Leserkreis sowie zusätzlichen Lektoren und Co-Autoren zugänglich zu machen. Matt (talk) 21:22, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Deine eigenen ethischen Ansprüche interessieren mich ehrlich geagt nicht so sehr. Auch Diene Einstellung in Bezug auf Copyleft ist in diesem Fall unerheblich. Onb 3 Vierecke und ein paar Punkte einen höheren Wert als ein Diagramm darstellen mag ich auch beweifeln. Ich finde diese Diskussion ehrlich gesagt frustrierend. Wegen genau solcher Sachen und ähnlich schräger Ansichten haben schon haufenweise Leute Wikipedia verlassen. Das ist schade. Ich verstehe ehrlich gesagt Deine Motivation nicht. Es wäre eine Kleinigkeit, für ich alles zu ändern. Deine Angebotenen Kompromisse sind leider keine, da sie nicht das Problem an sich betreffen. Du änderst eine fremd erteilte Lizenz! Wenn es mir um eine Namensnennung ginge, hätte ich wohl kaum eine Pd Lizenz gewählt. Entschuldige den harten Ton, aber ich finde das von Dir sehr eigenwillig entschieden und keinesfalls demokratisch geschweige denn im Sinne eines fairen Miteinanders.

Ich bitte Dich erneut, die Lizenz zu ändern!

Das Chemiebuch ist bei Wikibooks (zumindest teilweise), das Biobuch wird auch folgen, aber erst, wenn ein Grundgerüst steht, und das ist frühestens 2010 der Fall, da ich noch einige Kapitel überarbeiten muss. Ich habe lediglich meine "drei Vierecke und ein paar Punkte" lizensiert, dein Graph ist doch weiterhin unbeschränkt nutzbar. Ich finde es unsinnig, zunächst komplett auf alle Rechte verzichten zu wollen und dann im nachhinein auf freiwilliges Copyleft zu pochen. Zudem sind Lizenzen nicht widerrufbar und ich bin auch nicht mehr der alleinige Autor. Ich könnte die Datei jedoch in Absprache mit dem anderen Bearbeiter zusätzlich unter der GFDL lizensieren, dann wäre dein Buch wieder einheitlich lizensiert, falls du File:Engelmannscher Bakterienversuch.svg dort verwenden möchtest.
