Plants photos[edit]

Thank you for providing images for Commons.

Please put them into specific species page/category, not in generic Category:Plantae, Category:Nature. I doubt that these categories will be useful to search if every plant photo will be there.

Unidentified Images of Butterflies[edit]

Merci, j'essaye de trouver les noms latins chaque fois que c'est possible. C'est plus facile avec les plantes et les animaux car beaucoup d'articles existent en français et anglais, ainsi que des redirections avec les noms communs. Mais pour les papillons... Hi Luis - i have still this ligustrum image in my to do list. I (now :-) know for sure that it is not Prunus laurocerasus. To clarify it, just the question to you: do you know if this ist Ligustrum vulgaris? If not, it doesn't matter and i will just leave it in the Oleaceae category. Hola, Luis. Gracias por tu pronta respuesta. A mí L. wiegmanii me parece poco probable, porque es animal de zonas arenosas y la foto está tomada en un parque rodeado de monte cerrado por un lado y de una laguna por el otro, sin dunas en los alrededores, pero confieso que todo lo que sé del bicho lo he leído desde que recibí tu respuesta hasta ahora, así que no pongamos mucha confianza en mis virtudes como herpetóloga (en general se me dan mejor las cosas con clorofila). Además, hay un problema de tamaño: si L wiegmanii y L. azarai no pasan de los 64 mm en el macho, creo que me he encontrado un ejemplar gigante. Lamentablemente no puedo darte la medida exacta, pero cotejando las fotos con el diámetro de ese tronco, que afortunadamente es una variable conocida, el animal no medía menos de 16 cm. ¡Muchas gracias por tus habilidades herpetológicas y tus ganas de colaborar! Ciclo del VIH[edit]

Creo que cometiste unos cuantos errores en esta imagen http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ciclo-del-VIH.png . Creo que pusiste ADN y ARN en "Transcriptasa Inversa" en inverson, deveria ser " Sintesiza ADN a partir de ARN" o algo asi. Tambien en "Integrasa" pusiste ARN incorectamente, deveria de decir ADN.

Please help replace this outdated license[edit]

While this was a license acceptable in the early days of Wikimedia, since January 2006, this license has been deprecated and since October 2008 no new uploads with this license was allowed.

Actually, we are working on a road book of Biodiversity of Lisbon, for which we are going to produce a panel and a brochure. We found your photos on Wikimedia Commons and liked specially one of them very much, so we would like to know if you could allow us to use your photos, for free, to publish on this project, knowing that the brochure of will be for free distribution to everyone. San Gregorio[edit]

Hola, el cambio se debió a una reorganización que hice de algunas de las imágenes relacionadas con el museo, dejando en la categoría del museo nacional de escultura las obras del catálogo y en la categoría del colegio de san gregorio todo aquello relacionado con el edificio. Cierto es que esa estatua, junto con otras de la fachada, son esculturas, pero para homogeneizar todo el conjunto de imágenes creí conveniente moverlas a la categoría del edificio, separando así lo que es el catálogo del museo del edificio propiamente dicho. Es posible que, como dices, si se crea una para la colección, se abra la puerta para innumerables subcategorías que enredarían aún más el problema, quizás sea conveniente por ahora dejarlo como está. Hacen falta también del palacio de Villena, que sólo hay una y parcial, y de la iglesia de San Benito el Viejo, que no hay. A ver si cuando pase por allí me acuerdo de tomar alguna. Si te fijas una es para lo que fueron iglesias de Category:Churches of San Julián and Basilisa and San Miguel, Valladolid, en la plaza de San Miguel y cerca, patrimonio desaparecido de las que han quedado algunas obras de arte y la otra es para la actual iglesia de San Miguel, que antaño fue de los jesuitas. ¿Ya no reconoces tu tierra? Consulta sobre árbol/arbusto desconocido para mí[edit]

Hola Luis. Han pasado algunos años desde nuestro último contacto, pero he estado revisando la "discusión" anterior para intentar hacer las cosas bien en esta ocasión. Ya veremos si es así. Empezaré por saludarte y desearte que todo te haya ido bien en este largo período. Y ya al grano: resulta que mi tía tenía un cámping en un pueblo de Pontevedra (Sabarís del ayuntamiento de Baiona), que dejó de explotar hace unos años (porque ya tenía edad de dejarlo). En ese cámping había un par de árboles (y siguen estando allí) y se nos ha planteado la duda (bueno, no es una duda en realidad, es total desconocimiento) sobre el nombre del árbol y su procedencia. Mi tía no consigue recordar de dónde los sacó (no es extraño porque ya tiene 88 años y la memoria un poco deteriorada, aunque por lo demás está hecha una jovencita). He hecho unas fotos y las he dejado por aquí. Estos son los enlaces (tengo mis dudas de que salgan como enlaces porque me decía que la página no existía, pero son los que me dio wikimedia): [[1]] [[2]] [[3]] [[4]] [[5]] [[6]] [[7]] La primera foto muestra los dós árboles de mi tía. La segunda un arbusto de la misma especie en otra casa del pueblo para ilustrar que también se da como arbusto. La tercera muestra unas raíces aéreas (¿adventicias?) que cuelgan de algunas ramas. La cuarta también raíces pero que están pegadas al tronco. La quinta la hojas por la parte superior (¿haz?). La sexta por la parte inferior (¿envés?). La séptima los frutos. De las flores no sé nada porque no lo hemos visto en flor. Bueno, pues si sigues por ahí muchas gracias por la información que seguro que nos vas a dar. Un abrazo, Guillermo

Ya he leído tu explicación. Antes de hacer las fotos y preparar la consulta llegamos a esa especie en una búsqueda "un poco a lo loco" pero no estábamos muy convencidos porque las fotos que encontramos no nos parecían muy concluyentes. Pero ahora buscando ya sobre seguro sí que vemos que encaja bastante bien. Lo de las flores rojas no acaba de cuadrarnos pero lo cierto es que la familia, que está aquí todo el año, no recuerda haber visto las flores, por lo que podría ser falta de atención. No sé si lo correcto es añadir esto editando el texto original o si hay una forma más en plan "chat" de hacerlo. En todo caso muchísimas gracias por atenderme tan rápida y documentadamente. Identificación de planta desconocida (para mí, claro)[edit]

Hola Luis. Del poco trato que tengo contigo (y no será porque no me atiendas perfectamente) cada vez que se me plantea un tema en el que necesito echar mano de ti me cuesta muchísimo localizar el camino para llegar a ti. Pero aquí estoy otra vez.

Es Gomphocarpus physocarpus = Asclepias physocarpa, una planta de origen sudafricano que se pone como ornamental. Flora Ibérica la trata, aunque sea alóctona, y da detalles de nombres, propiedades y usos: Gomphocarpus en Flora Ibérica.
He visto enseguida que era exótica, muy distinta de cualquier cosa que yo conozca, así que he buscado con 'adventicias Galicia' (he visto la localidad en el título, conviene dar el dato) sin éxito. No he perdido más tiempo, he ido a plant.net, que es un servicio de identificación automática que ofrece además aplicaciones gratuitas para móvil: (https://identify.plantnet.org). He picado en 'flora mundial' y he subido las fotos (poniendo la url de cada una), indicando a la vez lo que eran, fruto dos de ellas y hojas la otra. Tras pedir identificar me ha dado una lista de hipótesis y he visto enseguida que era la primera. Lo cierto es que es la primera vez que recurro al servicio; no creo que sirva de mucho con pequeñas plantas silvestres autóctonas, pero seguro que va bien con matas y arbustos, sobre todo si se añaden flores o frutos, y con ornamentales. Poder hacerlo desde el teléfono es una ventaja, aunque yo lo he hecho desde mi mesa. Mi esfuerzo ha sido entonces muy poco. Me falta asegurarme de que no sea otra especie del mismo género, parecida, antes de aplicar la categoría a las fotos, para que las encuentre el que viene buscando. Llevo un par de meses entrando y participando en un grupo de Facebook llamado 'Que especie es?' (así, con esas faltas de ortografía), donde la gente sube fotos de plantas y animales de cuya identidad no está segura o no tiene idea. La mayoría de las veces contestan enseguida miembros que la conocen o dan orientaciones para encontrarla. Si tienes perfil puedes, la próxima vez, pedir entrar y subir las muestras. Yo estoy encantado de contestar aquí, pero entro irregularmente y ha sido casualidad que entrara hoy y viera el aviso, pero podría haber pasado un mes. Un abrazo

A mí la página me envía un correo cuando hay novedades, imagino que porque he marcado alguna opción, razonable en visitantes esporádicos y no tanto en personas a las que se les inundaría el correo si la marcaran, como seguramente sería tu caso. Voy a ver si tomo nota de tus sugerencias en algún sitio para poder encontrarla la próxima vez que se me plantee algo como esto. Estaba pensando divulgar vuestra Flórula de la Sierra Norte en mi sitio web. Si estás de acuerdo dimelo y damos los pasos necesarios. El primero sería encontrar una CPU con disquetera de 3,5 y el segundo migrar los datos del .dbf a un formatoactual. Supongo que eso no son retos insalvables para tí.
