You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Dear uploader of European Science Photo Competition 2015 and Wiki Science Competition 2017, Wiki Science Competition 2019 and Wiki Science Competition 2021, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2023 has started in almost all the countries.

If you want to take part in WSC2023, please consult this page. Only some national categories are associated to competitions with local prizes.

If you are an expert user, we remind you that images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface.

If you already took part in a country that has completed its upload phase (such as Russia), please consider improving the description in English of your files (click on the edit button), since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them. World finalists will be finalized after March 2024.

WLE Sonderpreis

@GPSLeo: Ok ich kontrolliere/filtere nachher die Fotos nochmal. Ich hatte mich schon gewundert wer die Entscheidung trifft, ob ein Foto teilnimmt wenn beim Upload keine Kategorie angegeben wurde. Bzw. wenn jemand anderes wie der Fotograf ein Foto entgegen dessen Einstufung für den Wettbewerb einstuft oder nach einer Überarbeitung mit einem Bildbearbeitungsprogramm in einer verbesserten Version für WLE einstellt. @GPSLeo Update: Nun sind 58 Fotos im WLE Sonderpreis "DE field margins and shrubs" mit dabei, bei denen ich die doppelte/inverse Kategorie "Images from Wiki Loves Earth 2024 in Germany outside of the competition" angepasst habe. Bei meiner Schnelldurchsicht für den Sonderpreis "DE field margins and shrubs" ist eine nachträgliche Filterung der Jury notwendig, da auch Fotos dabei sind die nur Tiere oder technische Fahrzeuge zeigen, eingereicht wurden. Dieses "Herausfiltern" aus allen Fotos würde ich, wie bei WLM im letzten Jahr durchgeführt von der Jury erwarten, um den Teilnehmenden Fotografen/-innen gerecht zu werden. Hierzu sollten auch Fotos gefunden werden, die von der Vor-Jury evtl. nicht berücksichtigt wurden (z.B. durch spätes Hochladen und damit wenige, niedrige Bewertungen der Vor-Jury oder Fotos die beim Bewerten auf einem großen Bildschirm oder einer großen Wandfläche einen besseren Eindruck hinterlassen, wie auf "kleinen" Monitoren, Tablets oder Smartphones). Weiterhin viel Erfolg und evtl. erreicht WLE noch 20.000 Fotos aus DE. Ich würde mich in der Vorjury freuen 😊 Lodewicus de Honsvels (talk) 13:38, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Aufgefallen ist mir das durch die Fotos von mir, die, da ich Jurymitglied bin natürlich bei Hauptwettbewerb und Sonderpreis außen vor sein müssen. Allgemein kannst du aber gerne Fotos die am Wettbewerb teilnehmen in die Kategorie packen. Auch wenn du ganz offensichtlich Fotos herauslöschst ist das überhaupt kein Problem. Bei den outside of the competition Fotos von nicht Jurymitgliedern würde ich vorschlagen, dass du die hochladende Person fragst, ob du Fotos on ihr in den eigentlichen Wettbewerb nehmen und die Kategorie entfernen darfst. Hallo @GPSLeo, ja mit dem Jury-Mitglied habe ich vornhin auch gemerkt. Was mir bei anderen Fotos im Detail Wettbewerb aufgefallen ist, dass zwei Fotografen beim Upload irrtümlich beides (also Detail-Wettbewerb und Outside of the competition) eingetragen haben.

Evtl. sollte man zuerst alle Fotos berücksichtigen und nach der Auswertung der Vor-Jury prüfen ob die Bedingungen des Wettbewerbes eingehalten wurden. Dies scheint mir zumindest einfacher die evtl. 250 bis 500 Fotos aus der Vor-Jury zu validieren vs. die 10000+ Fotos nach dem Upload direkt zu prüfen = ist nur ein Vorschlag. Gelöscht habe ich kein Foto nur Kategorien angepasst und einen Ausschnitt angefertigt, mit allen Angaben zum Fotografen und exif-Daten, den ich für ein Taxon bei wikidata als Bild benötigt habe. Da es mehrheitlich Fotos von Plozessor waren, informiere ich ihn separat 😀 Lodewicus de Honsvels (talk) 17:24, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Hey, so, I nominated one of your pics for speedy deletion. Sorry about the scary-looking copyright violation notice - I'm guessing it was probably CC BY-4.0 originally, and then the guy who uploaded to iNaturalist decided to renege and mark it as CC BY-NC for some reason. Figured I'd drop by and let you know personally instead of just letting the bot do everything.
