First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki—it is really easy.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing.

Goodies, tips and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • All your uploads are stored in your personal gallery
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~
  • Use the CommonSense tool to find good categories for your files (then other people can find them too!)
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:Image:Foo.jpg]], which produces: Image:Foo.jpg
  • If you're copying files from another project, be sure to use the CommonsHelper

Hallo, Du hast die oben genannte Kategorie mit der Erläuterung "Absoluter Schrott, der nicht gelöscht werden kann" angelegt. Wie meinst Du "nicht gelöscht werden kann"? Hast Du technische Probleme beim Einleiten eines Löschantrags? --Rudolph Buch (talk) 16:43, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kein Problem. Aber inzwischen habe ich mir eine der Dateien angesehen (File:K.k. Major2 GebTrp 1906-18.png): Du hast hier kürzlich nicht nur die Kategorisierung komplett entfernt, sondern auch die Dateibeschreibung grundlegend geändert. Kannst Du das bitte kurz erläutern? Der Upload war offenbar nicht von Dir und die Änderungen scheinen nicht logisch bzw. die Entfernung der Kategorien nicht sinnvoll. --Rudolph Buch (talk) 08:56, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, ok. Dann solltest Du aber wirklich einen Löschantrag auf die Datei(en) stellen, statt sie in gesonderte Kategorien zu verschieben (bzw. neu angelegte Wartungskategorien so beschreiben, dass verständlich ist, worum es geht - "schrottige Uploads" sagt wenig aus). Löschantrag geht ganz einfach - wenn Du auf der Seite des Bilds bist, klick einfach links unter "Werkzeuge" auf "Löschung vorschlagen" und gib eine Begründung an. Wenn Du auf Englisch begründest, ist das besonders hilfreich, auf Deutsch geht aber auch. --Rudolph Buch (talk) 10:21, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ich habe da schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Nicht nur einmal wurde der LA abgeschmettert, mit der Begründung daß es nicht das gleiche Bild sei und es Unterschiede gäbe. Potzdonner, natürlich gibt es Unterschiede, wenn ich eine stark verbesserte Version hochlade. Um mich da nicht zu zermürben habe ich den Kram in's Abseits gestellt. Als Beispiel hier alt= File:Rég Montgomery 1661-1665.png und neu= File:Rég de Montgomery 1661.png habe ich über 200 files komplett neu gemacht und mit viel Glück die meisten über speedy entsorgt bekommen - aber eben nicht alle. Mir will es einfach nicht einleuchten daß der Schrott behalten werden soll, weil es eben ein Unikat sei -- L' empereur Charles (talk) 11:27, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Verstehe ich einerseits - aber die generelle Linie hier ist eben, bei nichtidentischen Duplikaten lieber zu zurückhaltend als zu ausgiebig zu löschen. Es ist halt oft auch eine sehr persönliche Frage, was man als "Schrott" sieht und was nicht. Ggf. kannst Du Löschanträge überflüssig machen, wenn Du eine bestehende Datei durch den gleichnamigen neuen Upload ersetzt (Link "Upload a new version of this file" unter "File History" auf der Bildbeschreibungsseite). Nicht nachvollziehbare Verschiebungen ins Abseits sind jedenfalls keine akzeptierte Methode, Löschdiskussionen zu umgehen, das würde irgendwann größeren Ärger geben. Schiebst Du die betroffenen Dateien bitte selbst zurück oder stellst Löschanträge? Wenn ich als Fachfremder die Verschiebungen mache, entstehen wahrscheinlich Fehler... --Rudolph Buch (talk) 12:20, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ja, das ist eine 100 mm Skoda Gebirgshaubitze M16. Die Gummibereifung weist darauf hin, daß das Geschütz von de Italienern bei Kriegsende erbeutet und modifiziert wurde. Servus, -- L' empereur Charles (talk) 09:58, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
