please help others to find your images

Hello - thank you for providing images to the wikimedia commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the commons should be useful to all users of wikimedia projects - this is possible only if the images can be found by other people. To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should either place the images on topic pages (galleries) or put the images directly into a category, or do both. To find good categories for your images, the CommonsSense tool may help.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There is a large number of completely unsorted images on the commons right now. UK cemetery

You are perfectly right. I was mislead by the Usa government copyright tag. I tried to sort some order from literally hundreds of images of cemeteries which had been ammassed all together without any indication of place, so I worked in a certain haste. I corrected the mistake you so kindly pointed at in your link, but I can't find the second one, so if you know where it is, please correct it yourself with "Cemeteries in the UK". Well, if you click in the Creative Commons license, in the HarryLatino site, in the end of page says:

"A new version of this license is available. You should use it for new works, and you may want to relicense existing works under it. No works are automatically put under the new license, however."

Hello Sshelana. The license HarryLatino use is the 2.0 version, but this is not important. What is important is that they use a license that do not allow commercial use of their material. It is important that all media at the Wikimedia Commons may be used for any purpose, also comercially. Because of this, Image:Série Harry Potter - Voldemort.jpg must be deleted. Hei! Ser ut som det går rette veien for deg vedr. administratorskapet - det er bra!! ...og siden jeg har vært så snill å stemme på deg, håper jeg det er ok om jeg spør om litt hjelp innimellom. Jeg har bl.a. store problemer med å finne ut hvordan jeg skal kategorisere bildene mine. Hei. Vel, jeg tuller vel egentlig ikke. no:Bilde:Kolbeinsvarden-sep-2000.jpg er merket GFDL, uten videre informasjon om hvorfor bildet har denne statusen. Bildet har såpass lav oppløsning at man ikke uten videre kan anta at opplaster er fotografen, og jeg skulle i så fall gjerne sett at Bruker:Arnepetter skrev noe a la «jeg, Arnepetter, er fotografen av dette bildet og frigir det herved under GFDL». OK, trudde du oversåg "Summary" så derfor eg vart litt bryskt, beklager. Det såg ivertall ut som for meg at lisensen på no var i orden når eg lasta opp på commons i går, slik at me også fekk bruke det på nn. Jeg glemte selvagt å sende dem en e-post, men jeg ser nå her at bildet er oppgitt å være «Illustrasjonsfoto Bildet tatt 1999 AP Solberg». re: images from ambulanse-norge.com - copyvios?

I don't speek norwegean. I could not find anythink that proves the fact that the uploader is also the fotografer as the imagens are copied from ambulanse-norge.com. You are admin. at commons, you know what you do. Hi. I am not at all familiar with the licensing systems that are used, is there any safe and easy license you would suggest for me? I am talking about the image at en:Eina (and no:eina). I haven't removed the two pictures, in hope of a swift clearance. I will of course make contact with the webmater of vestre-toten.no, but I should offer him a specific license, rather than making them choose from an enormous list. Thanks for uploading Image:Laden2.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
