Thank you

I truly thank you for my bureaucrat nomination. I really appreciate it and I'm glad it was you—kinda makes sense in way. Now to check out my new toys. ;) Cheers, Rocket000(talk) 21:32, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

And thanks for [1]. ;) Rocket000(talk) 23:11, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Hehe, no problem :) Good luck! --Kanonkas(talk) 04:57, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

And another

...thanks for the vandalism reverts. That's a banned user on many Wikis known as the "George Reeves Person" (or "Boxingwear"). On the English Wikipedia I shut down all his sockpuppets a couple days ago, and blocked his IP ranges, so he's vandalizing my various accounts everywhere I'm not an admin. Sometimes you just gotta laugh ... If he causes you problems, shut down 66.99.0.0/22, 64.107.0.0/22, 64.24.32.0/19; and if ever turns into a truly persistent pest I'll send you copies of the deleted long term abuse pages on him. Cheers, Antandrus (talk) 03:51, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

No problem & thanks for the info. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 05:10, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

RFCU stuff

Just a note - probably not a good idea to use those templates (eg. {{Likely}}); they have a specific connotation that basically says "this is the result of a CU check". Best to avoid confusion. Giggy (talk) 11:07, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, but I made it clear that I wasn't a checkuser. --Kanonkas(talk) 12:43, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

*ping*

Image:File001.png... Probably ought to block the uploader. J.delanoygabsadds 21:06, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

I would have blocked the user if I was on, but the user seems to have stopped now so I'll be watching. Thanks for informing me. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 09:06, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

photo mixup

I want to delete the photo which shows me in here, can you do something to delete this photo? I don't want people to see that photo of mine. Thanks!--Executioner (talk) 17:34, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

✓ Done. --Kanonkas(talk) 18:01, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Wikimedia Commons has a specific scope

Is there a specific page that you are referring to? To date 18 images (with captions) have been uploaded - how is this anything other than media?

Lars Lindberg Christensen (talk) 14:46, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm referring to the gallery which you just made. Galleries should include media & not an article. Articles should be made at Wikipedia. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 14:51, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

How do I delete the gallery [[2]]? I made it in error...I would rather create categories and then add the images in there...that appears to be the general trend for this type of image. Lars Lindberg Christensen (talk) 16:42, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

I'll delete it for you but next time you can just use {{speedy delete|user request}}. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 17:22, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Protectreasons

Hi! I totaly disagree to this. Can you please provide a reason for it? abf /talk to me/ 19:05, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

The wording of those options were just weird. "Banned user"? Also it was just too many reasons, no need to clutter up the protection reasons. Feel free to put some of it back with better wording if you can, but not all of it please. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 19:26, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Is it better now? Regards, abf /talk to me/ 19:40, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
I'd say remove all of the new ones that you just put. Voting closed? I doubt that's a common protection note, bureaucrats can easily just type that the voting is closed. Same with "Often deleted page (because of our Scope or due to vandalism); protection against re-creation" (Change that one) "Image in use on important page|Image in use on important page e.g. Main page of enwiki" -> that one can be changed with a better wording like "This high-risk image, which is widely used on Wikimedia projects, has been protected to prevent vandalism." though I find the wording I just gave to long. Please remove the others you putted. Best regards,--Kanonkas(talk) 19:51, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Flickr Review

Dear Admin and trusted user Kanonkas, Do you know when flickr bot will review images posted on flickr? No review has been done images posted here for about 18 hours according to this : [3] and there are now almost 200 images here. I thought that flickrbot or trusted users check images every 6 hours. It did not review images last night and when I got up this morning 10 hours later, its still the same case. --Leoboudv (talk) 19:37, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Nope sorry I don't know when the bot does the reviewing. I would have been doing the reviewing but I'm kind of busy & I'm soon going offline, I'll see if it's empty or still backlogged tomorrow. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 19:44, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

For the welcome. :) Master of Puppets (talk) 01:32, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

No problem. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 06:15, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Copyright Violation unexplained

Hi! I don't understand why the pictures uploaded on this article has been deleted. They are not violating any copyright, the leader of the band himself uploaded those, and according to him, they are free to use. Can you please explain ? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.255.174.7 (talk • contribs) 09:35, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Well then would the owner please see OTRS & mail them the permission? Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 12:22, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

You have recently deleted the image title needlerBLARE, on wikipedia it was said to be in violation of copyright, well that is a falsity, i made the picture myself, i am the creator of that photo. So please reinstate it.--Cooljuno411 (talk) 19:55, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Sorry it doesn't work that way. You took the screenshot, but you don't have the rights to release that screenshot under a free license, unless you've got permission from the company which owns the game. Please see derivative works. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 19:58, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
I didn't take the screen with an external proogram etc.... once again, i made the picture myself. Look at the bungie website [4], it even says cooljuno411.... it's my picture. And on top of it all, it was uploaded to flickr under Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic, so there is no violation....--Cooljuno411 (talk) 20:05, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

I have sent an e-mail to creative commons stating: If i take a picture using an in-program camera, not 3rd party, but a camera actually in the software, what are my rights to the image i took? I am using Halo 3, a title for xbox 360, which has an in-game program that allows you to freely move and pan to take picture, just like in real life. I have uploaded the resulting image onto flickr and with an Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic tag. Then i uploaded it to wikipedia [creative commons], with the image from flickr upload section [5], which permits my upload. But the image was deleted shortly after, from wikipedia, being called a copyright violation. So i am just curious, what are my entitlements to the image i took. I feel that it should ok for me to do that because it is an in-program camera. Saying it is a copyright violation is like saying that if i upload a picture taken on a sony camera i am violating copyright law because the photo was taken on their brand of camera, so intern they are the copyright holders.--Cooljuno411 (talk) 20:32, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Since the game has a built in video game software i am the ownder of the image and have the right to release it how i please. It's just how you are the copyright owner if you edit a video in iMovie, and not Apple who provided the program.--Cooljuno411 (talk) 21:30, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

restoration

You restored a list that I never know exactly when I need due to it being helpful for cross referencing and maybe you restored more things like this. I really appreciate that you did this. -- carol (talk) 15:43, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

No problem, happy to help you out. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 15:48, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

I've reopened it, if you don't mind but I think we need more discussion if that's fine for you. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 12:13, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

That's fine for me :)) I have just misunderstand the Lilyu request's on IRC (see [http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Image:NarutoRiseofaNinja3.jpg&action=history this history for exemple). However, i think there is no worth hiding my mistake ;) Cheers.--Bapti 15:11, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

But there is one, i have redone, to fix a small difference between left and right ear... and than cause i was feeling the chin was cut to hight i have touch a little more the image... and so on, i have done more changes... could you tell me if the changes looks ok for you? if not, please revert me.--Lilyu (talk) 03:47, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

I see that you have protected that template. Can you change the link so that it goes to the Commons gallery, and not lead people away from Commons. /Ö 09:41, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

And also Template:Potd/2008-10-03 (en) would be nice if it linked to some image gallery. /Ö 09:45, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Images that I uploaded

Hi, please suggest what can be done about this image Image talk:EnvyNG logo.png, I already got a "keep" for Image:EnvyNG.png. Can I keep the first if I say I cropped the logo from the second image? Knownot (talk) 18:25, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

No I don't believe so, but feel free to update me about the situation. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 18:46, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

What happened here? Giggy (talk) 04:15, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

I was reverting the sockpuppet. --Kanonkas(talk) 07:47, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Right. So do you know who the ISP belongs to? Giggy (talk) 07:53, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Well a WHOIS on those ip(s) will show that the sockpuppet did tag it correctly. --Kanonkas(talk) 07:55, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Right-o. Thanks for answering. I wouldn't have reverted a correct edit, but each to his own. Giggy (talk) 08:04, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Guest 0 block

Hi - where did you get the info that this was abuse of multiple accounts? Lar says he did not have time to check so I would appreciate knowing your source of information so that I can research the matter further. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 16:18, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. Let us not jump to conclusions or overstate results, please. ++Lar: t/c 16:23, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Sorry but are you asking me how I found it, or what "abuse" it did? --Kanonkas(talk) 16:40, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
You stated that the block was for "abusing multiple accounts". In this case I cannot see where you got the evidence for that block. I am suspicious of the user but I cannot find how you reached the conclusion you did nor the checkuser who confirmed your views. --Herby talk thyme 16:53, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
I did the CU. Yann (talk) 16:58, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Well after CU was run on that account I got an answer back saying it was positive with (2 ip's?) that were on User:Kanonkas/Admin Sandbox from the 75.47, and those ip's I believe you know, have evaded blocks before & been disruptive, so if you want me to link to some other account instead of ip's, well I can't because this is the first time(?) they've registered for an account. --Kanonkas(talk) 17:03, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
CU aspects gone to email. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 18:01, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

re:Proxies

Hello Kanonkas, I do only block proxies if they had been abused, so the proxies I blocked on meta were abused proxies by vandal accounts. I am not sure what info You want of me of that IPs, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 20:31, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

The facts that, the user has a different range and is from somewhere else, the IPs are on open proxy lists, they had xff from his usual range. --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 17:50, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
I did google them, but not 'just', as said. --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 17:54, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
What page, sorry, I won't share the check with You, I have shared it on the mailinglist for other checkusers, because it is crosswiki. --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 17:58, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Commons sucks

I'd just like to say that you have proven all of the stories I have heard about the unfriendly admins here to be true, and from now on I will be uploading all of my images directly into the English wiki. -- Scorpion0422 (talk) 15:42, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Kordas, i know that most of that contributions are vandalism and insults, but if you look at this:

[25](go to the sections that says "hola" and "uted ganna") and you will see that my first reactions to the block were polite, not with insults, until RoyFocker entered and began blocking Ips and protecting talk pages, but, if Roy doesn't want to comprend me, then simply im gone and i will not talk to him again.

Please dont block me, im only explaining what happened, my version of the facts.
I'm holding the block stale for now until I get more info. Though, one thing I don't understand, is why do you go after him on other projects, including Commons just to "harass?" Roy? --Kanonkas(talk) 17:04, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

What exactly are you saying? --Kanonkas(talk) 17:12, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

What I'm trying to tell you is that seems insulting to me that you ask me to talk with a iw-vandal that offend frequently 3 admins of the es.wiki (Lourdes, Yeza, Petronas) and forces that all of theirs user talk pages were protected... --RoyFokker (talk) 17:27, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Sorry I just don't want to make a mistake with the block button. --Kanonkas(talk) 17:36, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Question

Dear Kanonkas, I am currently trying to create a gallery of "freely-licensed educational media content." You have just deleted the page that I was working on. Admittedly I am not entirely familiar with the etiquette of posting info on Wikipedia. Are users allowed to publish their media content? I was attempting to embed the images I have created. Am I allowed to do this or is it forbidden? I also provided a description of myself so that users would know who the designer of this content is. Is this allowed or is it forbidden? I have read various articles such as "our mission" and did not see how my actions were in conflict. If you don't mind explaining your interpretation of such articles I would be greatly appreciative. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AA1280 (talk • contribs) 17:45, 10 October 200 (UTC)

Ah well the problem was that the gallery didn't have any media, I'd also like to inform you to please not to advertise anything, as that goes out of our project scope. To answer your questions: Yes you're allowed to publish your content, as long as it's free & yes you are allowed to embed it. Just a note, we're not Wikipedia, it's more images that counts here, articles should be on Wikipedia. Feel free to leave me another note! Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 17:54, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Note

Is this derivative image which TenPound Hammer placed under IfD acceptable or not: [26] ? Note: I took the image because it was not an album cover with a copyright and is in a public building...specifically a museum. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 19:53, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes I believe it is, as you've taken a picture of a picture, if you get what I mean & that image doesn't look free. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 19:56, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Dear Admin Kanonkas, You are correct: I took a picture of a picture...so its a derivative. The City of Surrey Museum in Canada has a small display case dedicated to this country singer who is a hometown personality. So, then it can be placed on Commons...is that what you're saying? Or not? Can you clarify the issue. I'm a bit confused here. My apologies. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 01:05, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
No, I don't believe so. The museum haven't given that picture under a free license? If not, you have your answer. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 08:38, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Our project scope [[27]]

Hi, Neutral point of view - > Commons is not Wikipedia. . . if so, for example, the intention is to collect Category Tours in a series of presentations of photographs of similar subjects? [[28]? Therefore, the administration proposes venerable mainly:

  1. Other templates for example eg Tours - users should not guess.
  2. invite you to actively organize collections - primarily propose to pay attention to the cases of duplication of part of the local wiki (for example, compare the Commons and Wiki, for example, EN Category: Poland, Lublin, etc.)
  3. for example, to call attention to the so-called curators who clearly keep their (or group) presentation - often with poor quality due to technological progress.
  4. Neutral point of view - Commons is not Wikipedia!

Deletion IfD requests

Dear Admin Kanonkas, Can you resolve the IfD on this 2D image: [30] At first I suggested it be deleted since it came from a site which is banned from your spam filters. But if it is acceptable as 2D art on Commons, I suggested a proper solution: Close this IfD and immediatedly place a request to rename this wrongly titled image: Image:ThutmoseI.jpg into Image:ThutmoseIII.jpg It has been hanging around for far too long...with no resolution thus far. The king here is Thutmose III, not Thutmose I as I explained in the discussion. Can you use your Admin tools and help please? Thank You. --Leoboudv (talk) 19:16, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

hi again

do you believe this, Roy is listing my IPs because im pretty sure he wants to find me! i think that is harassment and privacy violation, but what do you think?

No I don't believe that is a privacy violation, if you abused those ip's I can't see any reason why he can't collect the info & keep it there, and as we're speaking you're evading a block. Consider yourself blocked now. --Kanonkas(talk) 14:48, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Deletion notice

I had a notice that one of my files was going to be deleted. What was the file...it did not say. Thanks! FieldMarine (talk) 20:03, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, it was the two recently created galleries of yours which were deleted, they had no pictures. After all, a gallery should have media content. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 20:05, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I generally create the categories, then I add the images. Right now the Art Deco section needs better organization as does many categories in Wikicommons. Many have too many files, making the category unwieldyy. But I'll cease working on it based on your request. Thanks! FieldMarine (talk) 20:11, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I am using the Internet Explorer. I can only see a red cross in this pic. Do you see more? Same in this pic: Image:Kaulbach zeichnet Wagmüller1878.svg. One of use should change his browser. Image problem

Dear Admin Kanonkas, I have uploaded about 130+ flickr images to Commons without any problems until today...with this one: Image:Viking treasure (Leiden).jpg Is the problem the size of the file? If so, I would humbly request that you delete it since it cannot be used even though it is a great picture. I personally don't know what is the limit on the size for an image that can be uploaded onto Commons. On flickr, the image says it is 114,662 bytes. I have to go now since it is 3:20 AM in Metro Vancouver where I live. Regards from Canada --Leoboudv (talk) 10:20, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Well FlickreviewR (contribs) just uploaded the higher res on the same image file name & fixed res issue for you. The maximum size of an image is 20 MB. Also, are you sure you would like it to be deleted, as the file size isn't a problem on that image. --Kanonkas(talk) 12:42, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
They just updated the programs used for thumbnailing of image.[31] Looks like it broke a bunch of things! J.smith (talk) 19:10, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Keep now that the image is viewable. Thanks for resolving the problem since it was a legitimate picture with metadata. 20 MB is the maximum for uploading images. Thanks for telling me that. With kind Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 19:34, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Non fair use image

Dear Kanonkas, I believe you deal mostly with Commons images. So do I. However, since my image of Ms. Brokop here likely cannot be placed in Commons, can you please tell me if my claim of non-fair use here is acceptable for this derivative image. It wasn't really a poster--more like a picture. [32] If it is not, do you know what other non-fair use logos I could use. It is a picture of a living person but there are no other free images of her on Commons. If you are satisfied with my non fair use claim, please feel free to delete her Common's image here: Image:Lisa Brokop 1.jpg I don't wish to drag things out. (I made a comment in the discussion there about your decision) Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 00:14, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Commented on the DR, thanks. --Kanonkas(talk) 15:06, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Flickr reviewing

Hello. Thanks for adding me. I reviewed a few images. Can you maybe take a quick look at my efforts - [33] [34] [35] - just in case I'm doing something wrong? Better to find out now than to ask after reviewing a whole heap of pictures I think. Angus McLellan (Talk) 09:45, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Yep, all fine. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 13:41, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. Angus McLellan (Talk) 16:36, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Adminship

I've thought about it before... but not sure I would have the time or desire to consistently perform those duties. There are periods where I'm active in deletion requests, and periods where my interests go elsewhere and I don't look at all. I wouldn't mind being able to see deleted content to help with research of those photos :-), but at this point, I think I still prefer to go where my interests of the moment take me, which often are admin-related, but sometimes not. Basically, not yet comfortable making the commitment that I think it would require. Maybe I have the wrong idea though :-) Thanks for the note, and I'll keep it in mind. Carl Lindberg (talk) 15:36, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Sure no problem, feel free to leave me a note when/if you feel ready. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 17:32, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for your note but send it to vandals not to me. If Slovakian PM says that Slovakia does not recognise Kosovo and Mareklug paints it yellow as undecided then it is NOT a content dispute but pure vandalism. It's like if I painted Norway as an EU member and insisted on it. You could call it a content dispute but as soon as one user comes in with official link proving otherwise and further map editing by me which would be painting Norway as the EU member would be nothing but vandalism. So instead of going the easy way and warning me for removing obvious POV spam from images you could simply look into the issue for more than a glimpse and notice who is right and who is wrong. I added references into image description, Mareklug did not do that, he vandalised the image. It's simple as that and I have no intention of using euphemisms.

But as I see you have taken part in that image editing so I am warning you to read the section "Sources" in that file. If you do not revert your edit in 24h it will be quite a problem because you have sided with a vandal to whom "undecided or postponed decision on recognising Kosovo" corresponds to words of the Slovak PM Roberto Fico “Today, I do not exclude the possibility that Slovakia will never recognize Kosovo. Kosovo is not some independent territory, it is an integral part of Serbia where Serbs, and members of the Albanian ethnic minority live.” [36] or the word of the Greek MFA spokesman - "Greece did not recognise Kosovo and does not recognise the secessionist regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia." [37].

I repeat there is no discussion here, and your superficial revert made the situation even worse.--Avala (talk) 19:57, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

i saw the editwar and i support Kanonkas. But a revert is not a option. I have protected the page and left a message on the talkpage. Please read than, sorted it out with all involved so whe can come to a solution.
Please note that a editwar is never good if you need more than one revert ask a administrator to help. That's the reasson whe are here!
@Kanonkas if i saw it correct you reverted it to the "first" version. I think it is best to keep that version till the reach a solution. You agree? Sterkebaktalk 22:10, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes Sterkebak, I agree with you. Just to make this clear, I'm on nobody's side & it will stay that way, I rv because their seems to be some dispute between you two & discussing it would be much better. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 05:54, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
How about reading what I wrote? As an admin you are obliged to read what other people write to you regarding your actions, not take part in some issue but only for a second and then drop it. What am I supposed to discuss on a talk page? “Today, I do not exclude the possibility that Slovakia will never recognize Kosovo. Kosovo is not some independent territory, it is an integral part of Serbia where Serbs, and members of the Albanian ethnic minority live.” - whether it means postponing the decision by Slovakia?!
Would you go to the talk page to discuss the issue as a content dispute if I would paint Norway as an EU member? Please respond to these two questions and a note to you : no one will be mad or laugh at you if you admit that you made a mistake, it's human but it's not good to ignore your mistakes. So I am waiting for an answer on these two questions:
1)when a quote by a Slovak PM is so clear how can you make a content dispute out of it especially if the other side never provided any sources for their edit?
2)Would it also be a content dispute if I would paint Norway as an EU member?

Thank you --Avala (talk) 11:01, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

  • I know a bit about the issue. Mareklug is on the Kosovo Albanian's independence side whereas Avala, who is an Admin on Serbian WP, is on the Serbian side and maintains Kosovo is part of Serbia. Its another of the bitter nationalist wars raging on WP! By the way, Kanonkas I have formally asked that someone, preferably you, close this DR--as the original uploader--and delete the Commons image: [38] I have now placed the image on my flickr account and did not know what was a derivative until you mentioned the issue. I won't make the same mistake again. Thank You --Leoboudv (talk) 06:47, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
    • There is no sides here. It's very simple. If the Slovakian PM says “Today, I do not exclude the possibility that Slovakia will never recognize Kosovo. Kosovo is not some independent territory, it is an integral part of Serbia where Serbs, and members of the Albanian ethnic minority live.” it is NOT neutral.

Please go to the talkpage of the image. This is not the place for this. Sterkebaktalk 12:22, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Thank you.

Hi Kanonkas, Thank you for deleting "COM:GL/Banner".   ■ MMXXtalk  16:53, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

No problem. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 16:54, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for having deleted Anthony Kavanagh. I made a mistake creating this page because I wanted to create a category (Category:Anthony Kavanagh). You deleted the page while I was putting {{speedydelete}} on it. --CHristoPHE 18:39, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Ah well it got solved, never mind the note on your talk page then. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 18:41, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Opinion

Hi,

Can i have your opinion please?

I have two user uploading the same copyvio stuff. One started after the other was blocked. But already has uploaded stuff of the same site in August. Sounds like a sockpuppet to me.

The users:

Cheers, Sterkebaktalk 20:41, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Yep you got them! Good work. --Kanonkas(talk) 17:32, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Can this really be right?

A user has uploaded this image Image:Nnvwikilogo.png as his own work. On my talk page on no:Brukerdiskusjon:3s, he claims to be working for Naturvernforbundet, and that is probably true. I can't see that NVF would release their logo like this, and therefore doubt that it has a proper license as it is now. I'm not familiar enough with this to say anything definite, but maybe you, or another Commons admin is? If you need to know more, please contact me on my no:wiki talk page, as I don't check my commons talk very often. Have a nice weekend! 3s (talk) 23:56, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes you are right, that logo should have OTRS permission. I'm going to tag the logos that they uploaded. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 08:23, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
This would also be the same for these two pictures: Image:Jantood.jpg and Image:Larshalt.jpg which can be found at naturvern.no here and here. Hopefully the pictures will be released, as they are more than welcome in the articles... 3s (talk) 11:22, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
✓ Done thanks for telling me. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 11:24, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

More pages

There is possible language problem. I have warned this user but they are currently still creating "articles" [39].--Paloma Walker (talk) 00:10, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

No pages have been made since the last warning you gave; hopefully they've stopped. I'm deleting now. Giggy (talk) 01:22, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Thank you :)--Paloma Walker (talk) 02:00, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Hm talk page watchers! Anyway, thank you Giggy for cleaning it up. --Kanonkas(talk) 08:21, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Temporarygallery

I use this temporarygallery for populating categories by User:BotMultichillT. The content is a subpage from another page and should not become a page. I change content after the bot has run. I shall put a note on the page.Havang(nl) (talk) 11:33, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately, because of a lag, the but has run without result. Permit me a later second chance. Havang(nl) (talk) 11:38, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Your indef block notice

A little odd? If you wish to make useful contributions, you may do so after the block expires. Given it is indef none of us are likely to live long enough to contribute after it expires :). --Herby talk thyme 15:23, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Ohh oops! I was supposed to use {{Indefblockeduser}}. Thank you for telling me, Herby. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 15:25, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
