Wonderful![edit]

Thanks a lot for these 3D scans of important sculptures. No 2D image compares to seeing them in all their dimensions. I only wish the licenses on myminifactory were clearer as to how they relate to the Creative Commons ones used on Wikipedia, so other files could possibly be uploaded. Request to contact STL viewer developers[edit]

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for uploading the Scan the World STL files. I wonder if you could point me to the relevant person(s) about a possible bug in the Wikimedia model viewer. I'd posted the following on the Computer help-desk but didn't get any replies:

I created a few STL files below and found that artifacts appear in the Wikimedia viewer and occasionally the thumbnail. I've checked that the direction of facet vertices is anticlockwise, the normals are sensible and polygons are not duplicated. It seems to happen more where the polyhedron is thin. All these polyhedra render correctly on http://viewstl.com . Would anyone know how to fix these artifacts?

Thanks,

Hello!

Your file File:Scan the World - Pietà (Michelangelo).stl seems to be missing Michelangelo's signature, which was chiseled into Mary's dress. It is quite large in the original, not a small detail.
