2016 Electoral Map[edit]

Hi there. Candidates are ordered alphabetically, not be performance or "profile". Your map version also had text issues as well, and pastel colors too similar. Spartan7W (talk) 23:25, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. Something must have went wrong with it. I reverted it myself for that reason. JackWilfred (talk) 23:27, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blue is misleading as blue is used for AfD. In Germany there's mostly no difference between CDU & CSU because they are sister parties, and so the German Wiki doesn't use this file. For anybody with a little understanding in German politics this diagram is nonsensical. If this editing war goes further, I will suggest the Hebrew Wiki to copy this file, fix it, name it in Hebrew so that other Wiki users will not be able to use it - which is basically a lose-lose situation. לייבניץ (talk) 21:54, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Also, there are no independent Bundestag members in the newly elevted Bundestag, so your argument “Dark grey is also used for independents” is basically a false argument. לייבניץ (talk) 22:07, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, it doesn't matter that blue is also the colour for the AfD, that specific shade of blue is the CSU's colour. It doesn't matter that the parties are sister parties, they're seperate parties with different colours.
The precedent, which existed for the entirely of the 2013 diagram's use, was that the CDU and CSU were put in their respective party colours. I can only speak for the English Wikipedia. If the Hebrew Wikipedia has established a different precedent that requires the CSU to be in a different colour, it'd be better for them to have their own diagram.
Grey is primarily used for independents. Even if no independents sat in the Bundestag, which isn't the case as two AfD MPs plan to immediately leave their party group, the intention is to reduce the risk of unnecessary confusion. I suggest you think through the arguments put forward before rudely declaring them "false arguments". JackWilfred (talk) 23:16, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm the other guy involved in this disagreement - I put forward the chart with the different shades of blue. I agree that grey is an entirely invented colour with no connection with the CSU and shouldn't be used - especially in Germany, where the parties' colours are used as a shorthand. But it's also true that two shades of blue are currently too similar with each other. You might not think there are visibility issues here, but multiple people on the file's talk page in English Wikipedia have complained about this. And I don't really see the insistence on using very particular shades - it's not as if making AfD a slightly lighter shade of blue will make it unrecognizable from Germans' perspective. Thanks, Chuborno (talk) 21:09, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If there is a significant visibility problem, then a darker shade would be alright. The Swedish Left Party is a good example of this, where dark red is used because the party's normal shade is almost identical to the Social Democrats.
Other places where the CSU colour is used, such as the Bavarian Parliament diagram, should remain the official colour, and the colour template shouldn't be changed for now. Just change it on this diagram for visibility's sake. JackWilfred (talk) 21:18, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kenyan election map[edit]

I see you created an SVG file on the Kenyan parliament. There is an honest mistake in the Kenyan electoral map at the infobox. Mombasa County and its islands, together with the Lamu Islands are in yellow. They are at the Southeastern part of the map. The coalition that won in those counties is Azimio that is blue. Could you fix that? Thank you in advance.-41.81.200.111 18:33, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
