Image:Rogers Center and CN Tower.jpg[edit]

Hi there. I have posted the 3 images on my user page uder the section "Toronto". I am unexperienced in photoshop and I welcome the help. Now that I look back at it, I think that stitching error could be revised by just using 2 photos instead of 3, unfortunately I dont have much time to do this. Thanks for the help! I fixed the photo, take a look on Commons:Featured picture candidates/Image:Rogers Center and CN Tower.jpg ! Thanks --Beyond silence 22.5px 21:19, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bouncing ball FP candidate[edit]

There is a new extremely professional re-edit from my original RAW file by Richard Bartz, and I'd urge you to vote for this instead of my own imperfect Photoshop efforts. Thanks very much to Richard for the work he's put in. Please consider voting or amending your vote at: Commons:Featured picture candidates/Image:Bouncing ball - strobe.jpg. --MichaelMaggs 17:02, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank-you for the offer. I do have the originals, do you have an email address I can send them to? --Digon3 talk 16:52, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! You voted when Sting's Falkland's map was first nominated. The vote was halted, because Sting wanted to clean up the image. I am pleased to tell that the new version is now nominated for FP, see Commons:Featured picture candidates/Image:Falkland Islands topographic map-en.svg. New River Gorge Bridge[edit]

Question How many photos did you use for this stitched image? Regarding Slaunger's comment, I think in this case you do not need to choose a different projection, as you were fortunate enough to be far enough away from the imaged object. You probably could use a different orientation of your rectilinear projection to align the bridge deck horizontally, if you wish to try this out. Here I just could not go further backwards without a drastic change in the foreground, but the piers look just too fat, that is why I thought this cylindrical projection better suited. -- Klaus with K 18:26, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment Now you told me the bridge deck is sloped, having it horizontal in the image makes little sense. -- Klaus with K 23:11, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the main image is still there and the archived discussion is at Commons:Featured_picture_candidates/Image:Rosa_canina_.jpg, I believe we should keep all such discussions intact so they can always be referred back to. Of course the version of his image with the errors is in fact here [1]. --Tony Wills 01:01, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, JaGa!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Trying to find a trace of an old bot[edit]

Hi JaGa, could I ask you a favour? I've got a bot issue, and I'm not into that world at all. Since (I believe) you're looking after the scripts that take care of the disambiguation list on English Wikipedia, I believe you may be well placed to help me in my quest.

The problem: the people over at Dutch Wikipedia have lost the bot which took care of their disambiguation list. That situation has been going on for a while now, but they keep on going round in circles without fixing it. So I wanted to find out if that bot can be recovered.

The bot is called User:BryanBot, but its user seems to have left Wikipedia years ago. It didn't stop the bot from running, though, but I believe it was hosted on a thing called the Toolserver, which seems to have packed in as well. So my question is quite simple. Do you know if the code of that bot can be recovered, so that it could be put to work again on a new server, or do you know anyone (admins) who might help with this request? Many thanks, --Midas02 (talk) 19:19, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
