Please do not leave off template:copyrightbywikimedia in such cases (the image is actually kind of illegal without it)... AnonMoos (talk) 13:15, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry. -- Ianusius (talk) 13:15, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Ianusius,

-- Ianusius (talk) 21:09, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Sichtungswettbewerb Logo.png

Viele Grüße --Saibo (Δ) 01:35, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

;) Viele Grüße -- Ianusius (talk) 02:13, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
:-D Sachen gibt's.
Viele Grüße --Saibo (Δ) 02:32, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
okay. -- Ianusius (talk) 02:47, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ich weiß - muss man erstmal alles wissen. :-) War natürlich nicht als Vorwurf gedacht. Gute Nacht! --Saibo (Δ) 03:09, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Danke dann! :-) -- Ianusius (talk) 05:25, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Done -- Ianusius (talk) 18:17, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Viele Grüße -- Ianusius (talk) 13:58, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1) If you can read English, please read w:WP:HITLER - it's a light-hearted essay I wrote about a while ago about referring to edits as vandalism, or w:WP:NOTVAND if you don't have time for that. 2) I haven't committed any copyright violations, so I'm not sure why you dropped that message on my page. I can understand if you're upset (I've been there myself) but I would prefer if you would just use words to communicate being unhappy. Thanks! Magog the Ogre (talk) 23:14, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
2) first: I'm very sorry about that. One of my gadgets went wrong, I didn't want to drop this wrong message.
1) You also hadn't used any words but a big red notification without any own words. So I thought it would just be vandalism because you also hadn't answered on my or on your own talk page.
I also prefer objective discussions – so let's start. I think that the file has no really threshold of originality because there is just an easy map with a few captions. The map is from the NASA, so we're allowed to use it and the captions have no threshold of originality. The source was given later. Sincerely, -- Ianusius (talk) 10:55, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a link/file name of one of the source maps? Or did you just assume that the NEPTUNE project has only added captions? A source map would make it clear - I did search for one but was not successful. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 13:55, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, I haven't got a source map. I have really assumed that the whole map is from the NASA. If that's a big problem, I even could ask NEPTUNE by mail. Sincerely, -- ianusius ✆ Disk. 21:25, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Asking them would be the best - maybe even asking for a permission. Then we have it clear for all future. Magog, what is your opinion? Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 23:17, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll soon ask after Magog has answered. Cheers -- ianusius ✆ Disk. 13:21, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I just had a look at the source you did find: yes, this it is. It is clearly a screenshot (the black on top and blue left, right, bottom borders show it). Sadly, there is no other source / licensing info on the src page except the info inside the image (watermark). Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 00:02, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is too difficult to respond on my smartphone right now. I'm afraid I'll have to ask for your patience until I get a working computer running. Magog the Ogre (talk) 07:56, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, that's no problem for me. -- ianusius ✆ Disk. 21:12, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alright; I'm back! At this point, it's already been long enough I don't well remember my original reason for marking the file for deletion, but looking at the file history, I'm sure it was because the file was, in fact, unsourced [1]. While strictly speaking it said it was from NASA/USGS by way of NEPTUNE Canada, that source is too poor IMHO to actually help us to verify the copyright status (which is why we have the no source tag to begin with... to help us verify the status). Had a similar template existed, I would have marked it with poorly sourced instead of no source (although I suppose Bsr fits the bill, I didn't think it fit well enough).
Regardless, it's certain well enough sourced now! Thanks for all your help in correcting the source well enough to help it avoid deletion. Magog the Ogre (talk) 03:50, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I also thank you! Cheers -- ianusius ✆ Disk. 13:01, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Discussion finished. Okay? -- ianusius ✆ Disk. 13:01, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, I have added a link to this discussion on the file's talk page for future reference. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 15:02, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Ianusius. Ist das 4:3-Format bewusst gewählt? IMHO würde das Bild durch Beschneiden gewinnen. --Leyo 16:25, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

16:26, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Gut, ich habe Crop eingetragen. --Leyo 16:37, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ianusius!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

File:Rekursion.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

ArchiveBot

Hi, I noticed you have set up User:MiszaBot to archive your talk page. Unfortunately, the bot has stopped working, and given how its operator is inactive, it is unclear when/if this will fixed. For the time being, I have volunteered to operate a MiszaBot clone (running the exact same code). With that said, your input would be appreciated at Commons:Bots/Requests/ArchiveBot 1.
