Cathédrale de Chartres[edit]

File:Chartres stained window complete - real size the life of Jesus MK 10.jpg
be careful, if you want to open it! Its a 2GB-File!

Hi Hubertl, this is the french comment of your wonderfull set I've found in the digital library of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France:

http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/bpt6k6221739t/f166.item.r=Monographie%20cathédrale%20de%20Chartres

If you can read french, enjoy ! This is the perfect description of all the pictures.--Jebulon (talk) 17:06, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I let you stitch by yourself ! It is your work ! Come on and congratulations again. What is funny is that I've found the complete contemporary comment book of all your images (but not the images by themselves. Thanks for sharing them. Really, really excellent !)--Jebulon (talk) 17:18, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
thank you so much, Jebulon, as it is often, when you start a project, even when it is "just" a stained glass window, you will get more and more informations. You get really into it! It´s a pity, but the only cathedrals I ever visited in France, where those in Reims, Amien and Notre Dame de Paris. An this is more than 40 years ago. And also, in my opinion, there are no really good pictures from this window available, maybe because of the size itself. For this reason, we Wikimedia Austria will buy a T/S - Lens (17mm) inbetween the next weeks. I´m just not sure, if we should take the 17mm or the 24mm. --Hubertl 17:23, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Amiens, Reims and Paris ? Nos so bad, for a beginning ! Don't ask me about lenses, I'm far to be a specialist ! I was given, as Xmas gift by my wife, a new Sony Alpha 7, with a 24/240 multi-purpose lens. I just tried it for the first time in Denmark (by our fellow commoner Slaunger, who is a personal friend in real life), and I've not already developped the pictures I took. But it looks more than good, at first.--Jebulon (talk) 18:06, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean, Jebulon: There are about 25 separate descriptions, one for each part of the windows. I could separate every single scene, we use the description from the book (its public domain, I think!) and make a fine article whith a list or a table with all the pictures and descriptions about this window, which is probably the most important and largest of all (146). It will be a novum, that a french and austrian guy work together on one article, I guess. Then, I can translate it (with some help) and transfere it into the german Wikipedia. Also in englisch, maybe! I would love it. The OCR-text is not really accurate done, this has to be reworked by a native speaker. Hmmm? --Hubertl 20:04, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Jebulon: : It´s done! --Hubertl 03:45, 4 March 2016 (UTC) BTW: I think, Sony A7 is a good choice, a Sony A7 s II even better! For getting pictures in museums![reply]
Money...--Jebulon (talk) 10:08, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
About your suggestion. Excellent idea, but the problem for me is just the lack of time. I need a second parallel life. It could be...my 21st chronological priority for Wikimedia, say. --Jebulon (talk) 10:08, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You name it! Right now I´m reading (with my really poor (really, really poor) french language skills) Durands Book. Just to understand what the content is. Then I will see how it can work. --Hubertl 11:12, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
--Hubertl 09:26, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Adalbert Duchek (1842-1882), bust (marble) Nr. 82 in the Arkadenhof of the University of Vienna-.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. Cuban gnatcatcher (Polioptila lembeyei), Cayo Romano, Cuba[edit]

Also: Ich würde es positiv bewerten.

--Hubertl 21:10, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
