Mushrooms

Hello George, you seem to be the mushroom expert around here :-). I uploaded to User:Quartl/Mushrooms about 70 good quality (I think) pictures of mushrooms taken yesterday. I would also be grateful if you could somehow preselect images which might, in your opinion, be suitable for QIC since I don't want to totally spam the page. Well, the thing is that it appeared only on one image, (and I took many) from which one could assume whatever it was, it was swimming, or floating for that matter. I believe that a piece of wood shaped like that, would not have been able to stand in a vertical position in the water unless it was attached to a different piece of something. I did not see it,when I took an image, but, when I looked at it on my computer screen,it reminded me an image of great white shark I took at Isla Guadalupe a few years ago I will call it for now a mysterious question mark. Actually I looked at Special:DeletedContributions/George_Chernilevsky, and it seems you have not yet been much involved in deletion discussionsnominations. Perhaps that's the best way to get involved in admin-type stuff before having to press the delete button yourself. I did few nominations on deletion (poor quality of images). All of them are deleted as a result.

I participated in discussions of nominations on deletion earlier, however did it not regularly.

As an admin, i will be check simple cases of deletion request (clear copyvio, bad quality, etc.) of times in day.

Hi! Yes, the colours were a bit off. It is actually olive-brown, but this one was very dark. And the paper is more of a grey colour, because the mushroom was a bit soggy and so got the paper wet. --The High Fin Sperm Whale 23:35, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
