Moteur de recherche

Pour être honnête, le moteur de recherche mériterait une euthanasie, c'est probablement le point le plus faible de MediaWiki. On a déjà vu des retards de plusieurs semaines dans l'actualisation des recherches, les possiblités sont floues et limitées, et sur Commons je crois que c'est pire... les développeurs ont promis mieux, mais bon...

D'un autre côté, la plupart des utilisateurs expérimentés le savent, et utilisent avant tout les catégories et les galeries pour leurs recherches : de ce point de vue, tes fichiers sont impeccables. Attention à ne pas "sur-catégoriser", par contre : la convention est de ne mettre un fichier que dans la ou les sous-catégories les plus précises. Par exemple, pour une vue aérienne de Paris, pas à la fois dans Category:France et Category:Paris, la seconde suffit. Sinon les sur-catégories sont remplies à craquer et les fichiers qui y figurent légitimement sont noyés.

Removing watermarks

Hi Emmanuel. Excellent work on removing the watermarks. I'd advise you not to make life this difficult on yourself by re-uploading the image under another name. Just upload over the existing image adding the upload message 'watermark removed'. You can even do this if you have cropped the image slightly, not damaging the subject of the image. If you process large batches, you could consider using Commonist to make the uploads even easier (only having to press 'yes' to overwrite the existing image). Salut !

Merci beaucoup pour ces travaux, très sympathiques en effet ! Pour ne rien cacher, mon ambition est d'en faire un jour des schémas SVG avec Inkscape, en vectorisant les courbes de ces images ; comme je ne suis pas très doué de mes dix doigts en graphisme, j'attends d'avoir une (très) longue soirée disponible pour ça (mes réalisation se limitent à des trucs comme Image:Lines plan fr.svg ou Image:Bulk carrier midship section fr.svg. C'est le genre de schéma qui permettrait de faire des annotations et donc de présenter les différentes parties et caractéristiques de ces navires. Si jamais tu as des suggestions, je suis preneur !

Merci beaucoup pour tes trucs, ma page de discussion de wp pourait t'intéresser, Sting c'est lui aussi penché sur mes problèmes, j'ai supprimé comme tu me l'avais recommandé les données entre les balises ce qui a réduit le poid, qui reste considérable de 1 mo, en ce qui concerne la superposition des textes c'est normal, étant donné que suite à je ne sais quel bug les images que je charges sur commons n'affichent pas les textes je suis obligé de les copier et de les vectorisés pour qu'ils s'affichent, la superposition n'apparait alors que sur l'aperçu, enlever la possibilité d'édition en chargeant le svg pourait être une solution mais dans ce cas autant charger directement en png, si je met mes cartes en SVG c'est aussi pour que d'autres puissent en profiter, cordialement--Kimdime69 13:35, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Bonjour, Il faudrait faire une variante de tes images ci-dessus avec les modifications suivantes :

• Image:Rectiligne.svg :
  • dessin de droite : la flèche horizontale (dans l'axe des boules) disparaît ; les 2 flèches verticales sont noires (épais)
  • dessin de gauche : la flèche horizontale dans l'axe du cylindre disparaît ; la flèche verticale est noire (épais) ; la flèche en pointillé indique un moment : il serait bien d'enrouler autour de cette flèche pointillée une flèche en arc de cercle, noire et épaisse.
• Image:Appui_plan.svg :
  • dessin de gauche : La flèche verticale rouge disparaît (la noire peut être recentrée) ; elle est completée à sa base de deux flèches orthogonales sur le plan d'appui (les 3 forment un trièdre) ; ces 2 flèches représentent les moments transverses ; elles suivront donc la même convention graphique que pour l'image précédente.
  • dessin de droite : on peut mettre une flèche verticale noire (épais) à la base de chaque pied (représente les 3 efforts d'appui).

Bonjour. J'ai dû supprimer cette photo, car elle représente la Géode, une œuvre d'Adrien Fainsilber, protégée par le droit d'auteur. En France, la loi n'exempte pas du droit d'auteur les œuvres situées sur l'espace public (voir fr:Liberté de panorama sur Wikipédia). Un éditeur de cartes postales a déjà été condamné pour contrefaçon pour avoir représenté la Géode sans autorisation de l'ayant-droit (Cour d'appel de Paris, 23 octobre 1990, Sté Fotogram-Stone et autres c./ la Cité des sciences et de l'industrie). Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Logo tramway de Mulhouse

Bonjour!

J'ai vu que tu avais réalisé quelques retouches pour les fichiers File:Logo tram 1.svg et File:Logo tram 2.svg pour le Tramway de Mulhouse. Je viens de créer un logo en svg pour la future ligne 3 que j'ai mis en couleur noire puisqu'elle est en construction. Mais comme c'est la première fois que je fais du svg et que je suis........ globalement nul dans le domaine :-D je me demandais si tu pouvais également faire une retouche à ta convenance (si bien-entendu il t'arrive encore de faire cela, sinon je ne voudrais pas déranger). In the file/image description of Arborloo-en.svg; can you mention that, to reduce costs even more, perhaps it might be possible to use car tyres as the ring beam. I know Michael Reynolds did this with his "Outlaw septic 2" (http://welikesmall.org/stuff/earthship/Guides/outlaw%20septic.pdf ).
