These files should not in any circumstances be deleted, as they will be used in future articles treating on individual topics of note. Perhaps those who suggested they should be deleted have no knowledge in Jewish culture and/or history.Davidbena (talk) 23:20, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sana'a University[edit]

Unfortunately I've no official precise information yet but indeed there was no transfer from old to new university but rather an expansion was made in the new location due to the restrictions of the small zone allocated for old university. Old university was only for few colleges (Sciences, Literature mainly, as well as education, religion and law colleges that were later moved to the new location), and then new colleges such as commerce and economy colleges were initiated at the new location (that was later named as New University) around 1975 and then followed by additional faculties in engineering, medicine, agriculture, languages, and information. So you may consider 1975 as an approximate date for the new university while 1970 as the approximate date of old university which is still accommodating faculties of sciences and literature.

If you are interested about the dates, I will try to get information from the university administration, but not so sure if I can get such support, especially after the escalated unstable events ongoing around Yemen.

Wow, what a coincidence, I didn’t even notice that you uploaded new pics of the City of David. Note there is a Category:The House of the Bullae and for Category:House of Ahiel, which may be the same thing, located adjacent to the Category:Stepped Stone Structure. I’m still learning about categorizing pictures. If there is a specific catagory, then the picture should not also be in the parent category, see COM:OVERCAT. But if the subcategory is not indexed in the parent category, add the subcategory to it.

I’m very interested in these City of David excavations because I expect major discovery there regarding the Temple location. Okay. That makes sense. If there is a parent category and a sub-category, I will do my best to list the image in its sub-category. As for the location of the First and Second Temple, 2nd-century Jewish sources clearly state its position on the Temple Mount, which is also called nowadays in the Arabic language as Haram esh-Sharif.Davidbena (talk) 18:08, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Right, we discussed this on Wikipedia, from which I’m blocked over something really stupid and wrong. (Plan to appeal block soon.) The two current articles about it en:Temple denial and en:Antonia fortress are very one-sided. One of the opposing “fringe” theorists, Marilyn Sams, referenced in the WP article, “Temple denial,” makes some very good points that are ridiculed in the talk page there regarding Josephus saying Antonia “dominated” the Temple and was connected by two bridges, read he report here see her other reports on the subject too here. When you look at the geography of the City of David, you see how strategic the ridge is for defense and how far the Temple Mount was from the en:Gihon spring, like where did the priests purify themselves and then walk back up the Temple Mount? Hi, Raquel. The information presently listed on the Wikimedia-Commons' page for the bulla comes from the same "City of David" Visitor Center. Hello Davidbena,

I don't quite get this, maybe you could have a look. It seems that you questioned the file source back in 2019, but I cannot find any such process in the file history, and except for a bot edit, no changes have been made in terms of copyright. There is no indication of a VRT correspondence or of the uploader being the copyright holder.

Worse, there is no mention of personality rights issues. I would consider prayer to be a very intimate situation; I would not want to be photographed when praying. This woman has her eyes closed, she may not even have been aware she was being photographed. Is she o.k. with having her image published all over the world? I wonder. That's a very good question. Since I did not upload that image, and since I do not know the woman personally, I have no way of knowing. If there is a question about copyright issues, that is valid grounds enough to have the image removed. As for the woman's awareness or unawareness about her photograph being published on Wikipedia, if this is a criterion that can be used against the image, one would have to check with Wikimedia Commons policy on images uploaded to their site.Davidbena (talk) 14:10, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
