My previous registration[edit]

here was Dimitar Navorski. Greetings, Bulgarian Herald (talk) 02:39, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your image upload didn't work because it referenced an external image "D:\Temporary Files\Naval_Ensign_of_Bulgaria.PNG". In any case, SVG images are supposed to contain predominantly vector data. AnonMoos (talk) 08:19, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bulgarian Herald ![edit]

--- Thank you for your remarks.

My sources are : Grigori P. Jitar', Contributions about the coats of arms of the Assenid and Bassarab dynasties, in : Annales of the Moldovan national Museum of History, Chisinau, I, pp.: 27-36 (1992) and II (1995) pp.: 19-40, with 62 referencies, including the heraldists D.L. Galbreath, Leon Jeyuier & Christian Kruse ; also История на България, т. III, София 1982, pp.: 140-149, 272, 334 and Царевград Тырново, София 1973, p.: 55. If I understand correctly the using of this blazons, the first one, used by Ivan/Ioan Asan/Asen II, when he married the daughter of the king of Hungary, mains "Alliance between two powerful kings" but was too high in the heraldic scale, and after some years another blazon, gold & sinople with 8 horizontal stripes, had be introduced. This second blazon are later transmitted from the Assenids to the Bassarabs, together with the beginning formule "Io" (from Ioan) as a title, for all their bills and letters.

I know the situation between the Bulgarian & Romanian historiography, especially about it subject, each one condidering POV and irrelevant the works of the other ; but I finded on the web a Bulgarian-Romanian Commission for coordination and according historic research, and I hope from the future a best work together.

Sorry for my rocky english, and good wishes,--Spiridon MANOLIU (talk) 10:24, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About Ivan Asan I & II[edit]

--- Hi Bulgarian Herald !

--- My source are : Grigori P. Jitar'. I was sure you can access directly HIS bulgarian sources, it's that for what I give you his data. If you have a mail I can scan his article and send to you. I'm not interested in a controverse between the bulgarians and romanians POVs, but only by working WITH (and not against) you, to finding more facts.

--- "The first blazon, used by Ivan/Ioan Asan/Asen II, when he married the daughter of the king of Hungary, mains "Alliance between two powerful kings" but was too high in the heraldic scale, and after some years another blazon, gold & sinople with 8 horizontal stripes, had be introduced. This second blazon are later transmitted from the Assenids to the Bassarabs, together with the beginning formule "Io" (from Ioan) as a title, for all their bills and letters"... is a resumee of Grigori P. Jitar's work : Contributions about the coats of arms of the Assenid and Bassarab dynasties.

--- "Coat of Arms of the Bulgarian-Wallachian Empire, confered 1218 by the Pope to the Tsar Ioan (Ivan) Asan I." Mistake : evidently it is I.A. II, not I. Keep cool !

--- About this Romanian-Bulgarian commission, try to contact the Bulgarian Academy. For my part, I find mentions about this commission at the Museum of Archaeology from Constanta, director Constantin Chera, site [www.minac.ro]

--- I'm always ready to reconsidering approaches, uploads and editings ! We come from small countries, and we must remember Benjamin Franklin's words : "We must indeed all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately."

European and danubian regards,--Spiridon MANOLIU (talk) 09:18, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Southstream.png[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you recently edited this image. The boarders of the Western Balkans are out of date, could you please include Montenegro and Kosovo to this map please? It is more professional if we have up to date maps and have 2010 boarders not 1992 boarders. Regards IJA (talk) 15:12, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I can't believe I missed that haha.

Thanks for your explanation; it's great to know that this is a free image! Nyttend (talk) 11:33, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flags[edit]

Ok, I guess the presidential flag is fictional, as you stated. I do know there is a Bulgarian flag I found on Google that is like the presidential flag (http://proizvodstvo-tekstilni-izdeliya.proizvodstvo.catalog.bg/images/tmpl/46006/005_1292582959.jpg). I am thinking this is a commercial product and not based on law. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 06:11, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
