Image French urban railway networks[edit]

Hi! I think you can add in brown LAON with its POMA2000 as urban railway, it is like VAL.

Thanks for your work!

FA

Dog49 (talk) 10:15, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alta Velocidad Española.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. WEF[edit]

Please forward your e-mail exchange with Mr. Lüfkens to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). Lupo 11:01, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I had already done that, but I sent it another time ... ;-) Benjism89 19:39, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, OTRS takes some time... I've bugged one of the OTRS people to dig out the ticket ID. For future uploads from the WEF's Flickr site, just use {{WEF|cc-by-sa-2.0}}, this will automatically add the correct {{PermissionOTRS}} template. Oh, and I can't do all the images in the 2007/2008 categories myself. Maybe you could help out replacing the plain cc-by template there by this new WEF template? (Up to and including 2006 I've already done this.) Lupo 11:45, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All existing ones done now. Lupo 11:55, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Commonist licenses[edit]

Dear Benjism89,

As you might know Wikimedia is currently migrating from the GFDL to cc-by-sa-3.0. Wikimedia Commons is also migrating and we're down to less than 2500 files (started with about 1,8M files) . Unfortunatly this number keeps growing because Commonist contains outdated license templates. You appear to be running Commonist, could you please change the following lines in your license.txt? You can also copy a new licenses.txt from here.

{{self2|GFDL|cc-by-sa-2.5,2.0,1.0}} should be changed to {{Self|GFDL|Cc-by-sa-3.0,2.5,2.0,1.0}}
{{self2|GFDL|cc-by-2.5}} should be changed to {{self|GFDL|cc-by-3.0}}
{{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} should be changed to {{self|cc-by-sa-3.0}}

Can I also fix the images you have already uploaded by adding {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}?

Thank you very much, Multichill (talk) 20:56, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rotate[edit]

Hi Benjism89, please use the Rotatebot to get images rotated. Add the tag

  • {{rotate|90}} to get an image rotated 90 degrees clockwise or
  • {{rotate|270}} to get an image rotated 270 degrees clockwise = 90 degrees counterclockwise.

-- Ies (talk) 17:18, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ies,
I do know the existence of the rotate template, and I do use it ... Unfortunately, some bug in my image showing software makes image look correctly rotated on my computer, but wrongly rotated on Commons. And adding the rotate template to a hundred pictures each time I use Commonist is ... very annoying :-(
Thanks anyway !

Hi, following a request on your behalf by User:Jean-Frédéric, I've granted you the accountcreator userright on commons to help with the Wikimedia Commons workshop. Best of luck with that, and poke if there are issues. This userright will allow you to bypass the limit *when creating accounts from your own account*, it has no effect on new account creations from the IP, that is handled by sysadmins and should be requested in advance in #wikimedia-tech or on bugzilla. Thanks for uploading File:2007 WSJ Prince William.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:2007 WSJ Prince William.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

File:Montereau-Fault-Yonne - Statue de l'Europe.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

carte des autoroutes de France[edit]

Bonjour

Hm this is strange. The borders of objects now seem to have a turquoise touch --FlocciNivis 09:50, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, slightly turquoise in the trees on the left. Maybe crop the top? I mean, it's still a great shot. --Der Angemeldete 08:12, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Der Angemeldete, I couldn't find the turquoise CA without the details you gave. I did some additionnal fixing and now cannot find any CA left, hope it's OK. --Benjism89 20:01, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Railway map of France - Rennes - animated - fr.gif[edit]

Salut,

Cordialement, Benjism89 (talk) 17:36, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
