Las fotos no se perderán aquí porque a medida que las voy subiendo voy enlazándolas al artículo correspondiente de wikipedia y añadiendo la "es interwiki" a la página correspondiente de las fotos. Como he hecho con Allium sphaerocephalon. Si tú subes fotos huérfanas, es decir, que no tengan aún artículo en wiki dímelo y haré aunque sea un esbozo de la planta para poder poner alguna de ellas y añadir la interwiki, además, si quedan imágenes sin enlazar, simplemente se añade la plantilla {Commons} al artículo. --Anna 08:52, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Para crear una categoría tienes que hacer lo mismo que en wiki o en la El. Escribes Category:xxxx en la página que estés creando y al grabarla verás que el enlace está en rojo, por lo que la pinchas y en la edición de la nueva categoría escribes la categoría padre en donde la quieres incluir, por ejemplo, si fuera Category:Spanish gardens la jerarquía superior sería Category:Gardens. El problema es que aquí todo está en inglés y, que yo haya visto, todas las categorías lo están también. Pero no te preocupes, cuando crees una categoría o una página, déjame el enlace y le echaré un vistazo, si hay algo mal y alguien no se hubiera adelantado ya a corregirlo no me cuesta nada hacerlo. Lo mismo si tienes dudas respecto al nombre de una categoría. Ah, y aquí no se dan latas, simplemente se trabaja codo a codo ;)--Anna 21:51, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hola, encontré la página Geodesia y le he añadido la Category:Technology para que no quede huérfana y el interwiki es, además de añadir a la descripción de cada foto el término en inglés. Bonitas fotos, ha quedado una página espectacular.--Anna 07:14, 9 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Bueno, ya se ven las fotos y El Rastro está categorizado, falta la interwiki porque no hay artículo en wiki sobre él. ¿Le planteamos el reto a Lourdes? jejeje.
También estuve subiendo unas fotos del Palacio de Cristal, el estanque y el monumento a Alfonso XII en Madrid, me faltan 2 de la estatua al Ángel Caído que tomé hace una semana en uno de estos fríos y luminosos días que estamos teniendo, podrías añadir el primer plano que tienes en el artículo de wiki, porque la foto que yo he tomado es como un plano medio, con parte de la columna y no se ve la figura con tanto detalle. Ya está licenciada, para que indique que está tomada por ti sólo tienes que poner {{GFDL-self}}. La he puesto en Category:Minerals (no encontré ninguna más específica, si tú la encuentras me lo dices y la cambio) y he añadido el interwiki al artículo Titanita en wiki. Duplicadas[edit]

Mira estas dos páginas: Anthemis arvensis y Anacyclus clavatus ¿cuál es el nombre correcto para esas fotos?. He ampliado y wikificado es:Anacyclus clavatus poniendo el enlace de Commons a Anacyclus clavatus, pero me acabas de romper los esquemas ;D. Anna 08:12, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Las imágenes no se pueden renombrar, pero las puedo renombrar yo volviéndolas a subir, aunque esta Image:Anthemis arvensis habito.jpg quizá pierda algo de definición porque es chiquita. Si quieres te encargas tú de ella y yo renombro las otras dos. En cuanto a Anthemis arvensis, no hay ningún artículo hecho en wiki de ella, sólo aparece el género y 6 especies en rojo en es:Asteraceae. Anna 00:51, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
