Melk Abbey Staircase Photo

Mac Pro picture that you aggressively removed on all interwiki versions of wikipedia

Dear Sir,

If you don't like the background, surely you can remove it yourself in a derived work, or ask the Graphic Lab on commons to do so. But why do you negate the obviously encyclopedic valors of my image? It is the only one we have a full year into the machine's existence, and one that is sharp, high-resolution, and shows what it looks like with ports in view, and which shows what the machine looks like in a home environment, how it is highly reflective. Clearly if a better backgrounded picture surfaces, let's use it. But in the interim, this is the best picture for the encyclopedic use. Sincerely, --Mareklug ^talk 18:42, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Dear Mareklug, please don't take it personally but this image of your carpet is unworthy of discussion. Even the derivative work you mentioned is no option because the carpet reflects in the Mac Pro's housing. This image is the worst I've ever seen from a technical item. In my opinion it's much better to have no image than this one. This image in an encyclopedia is nothing more than a laughingstock. It's certainly an improvement over the stuff we had on Commons for this model before my upload. So why don't you install it on en wiki as well, where you reverted to the worse-than-useless comparison drawn not to scale between the old and a cartoon. Also, User:Nick has indicated some free license additional shots on Flickr that you could also upload, while you are tending this subject, and that includes a close-up of the ports. --Mareklug ^talk 03:43, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Alaska gallery

Hello. Could you please monitor this page to ensure that it isn't grabbing large numbers of inappropriate files? I had to some subcategories today as ignored in order to avoid grabbing large parts of Canada in the galleries.

Hi, there still are lot's of images from Canada. Some have certain Categories in common with Alaska but the set from July 26. (some buildings from Nunavut) seems inappropriate. --aconcagua (talk) 05:48, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Meistens ist ja sogar die genaue Kameraposition angegeben, bei diesem Bild gibt es leider keinen Hinweis, ob es sich um niederbayerische Feuerwanzen handelt.
