First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.
Made a mistake?
  • Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

我知道，但是有一大半的人是我從來沒看過，更不用說我煩他們。既然有這麼多人都是我第一次上前詢問他自己上傳照片有關的問題，卻是沒一個人回應，這似乎很奇怪。我看我們不用再猜了，想得到的可能原因都想了，卻沒有一個能解釋這種奇怪。最怕就是遇到我編輯下去，對方立刻衝過來找我，斥責我亂改，像這種等人跳進陷阱、放馬後炮的人，就是將他自己責任推到我頭上，塑造出好像是我沒問過他的那種。目前我遇過幾位，全部是台灣人，所以搞到我現在不知道該怎麼辦？--Kai3952 (talk) 21:11, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

以File:2022年12月4日行政院長蘇貞昌出席扇形車庫啟用100週年慶祝活動7.jpg為例，
若已添加分類「EMU3000 at TRA Changhua Roundhouse」，
即可不必再添加分類「TRA Changhua Roundhouse」（因前一分類屬於此分類之下）；
又以File:臺鐵彰化扇形車庫100週年-05.jpg為例，
添加分類「CK124 at TRA Changhua Roundhouse」會比「TRA CK124」來得更精確。

請停止破壞[edit]

如果對分類有異議，可以提出來說，但是請不要繼續做出這種編輯行為: [1]。因為對他人的正確分類進行回退會被視為「破壞」，因此我不建議你回退。我所謂「正確分類」是指分類依照照片顯示的畫面而添加，比如File:E500電力機車駛入南方小站.jpg顯示列車正駛向南方小站，而被拍攝當時列車所在的位置也剛好是位處彎道上，所以添加 Trains at South Station 和 Trains on curves in Pingtung 這二個分類是符合照片顯示，這種符合就是稱為「正確分類」，更何況照片是大家都能看見的，是否真如我所言正確分類，你可以請別人公論，如此就能知道我回退你的編輯是否正當合理。--125.230.90.54 10:39, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

即便如此，依然是不可回退，而是應該針對 Trains at South Station 這個分類進行修改，畢竟這種連帶將 Trains on curves in Pingtung 也移除的舉動，你再怎麼樣有理，也會變成是無理，因為人家會認為你說的那關 Trains on curves in Pingtung 這個分類是什麼事，因此你還是會理虧，所以別人會當你是破壞，也是在情理預料當中。既然你提出這問題，我猜你八成是想叫我幫你解決，所以我已經幫你解決好了，在後面加上(Taiwan)就能與另一同名車站區分。不過，我還是很納悶，因為 Rail vehicles at South Station 是你建立，按理來說，你建立也就是你自己會比我早知道有另一個同名車站，那麼為何當時沒去解決呢？--125.230.64.8 14:55, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

時間久遠已忘了當初怎麼來的，合併上章回覆，我也是你更改了才知道有相同站名的車站，該分類只是很單純的把其他車站相同的類型的分類把站名更換而已。另外，就您說話的語氣和User:Kai3952很像，如果是請遵守規定不要使用IP傀儡，有空我會仔細比對編輯紀錄並提報。 🚊。鐵路Railway Talk 15:12, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
