دليل الخطوات الأولى هنا إن ملف الخطوات الأولى هنا و ملف الأسئلة المكررة سوف تساعدك كثيرا بعد خطة تسجيلك. إنها ستشرح لك كيفية تعديل الواجهة الخاصة بكومنز بما يتناسب مع احتياجاتك (كتغيير لغة الواجهة مثلا)، و كيفية تحميل الملفات و سياسة رخص الصور الخاصة بنا. أنت لست بحاجة إلى مهارات تقنية للمساهمة في كومنز. كن جريئا ساهم معنا و اعمل بحسن نية من طرفك و افترضها لدى غيرك. نحن هنا نساهم معا في نظام ويكي - و هو أمر بسيط حقا. الوصول إلى المساعدة الكثير من المعلومات متوفرة في صفحة بوابة المستخدمين. و بإمكانك طرح الأسئلة في مكتب الإستقبال و المساعدة, الميدان أو ضمن صفحات التشات ضمن قناة #wikimedia-commons. بإمكانك أيضا الاتصال بأحد مدراء النظام و ذلك في صفحات نقاشهم. إذا كان لديك سؤال معين عن حقوق الطبع، إطرحه في صفحة نقاش التراخيص.		نصائح و خطوات سهلة مريحة ضع صناديق بابل في صفحتك الشخصية ليتعرف الآخرون على لغتك و يتواصلوا معك. إن جميع الصور التي حملتها مخزنة باسمك ضمن معرضك الخاص رجاء أن توقع باسمك في صفحات النقاش و ذلك بطباعة ~~~~ استعمل نظام البحث المنطقي لتجد تصنيفا مناسبا لصورك التي حملتها ( و هكذا سيجدها الآخرون!) لعمل وصلة إلى صفحة صورة اكتب التالي:`[[:Image:Foo.jpg]]`, و سيظهر لك : `Image:Foo.jpg` إذا كنت تنسخ ملفات من مشاريع شقيقة، تأكد من استعمال مساعد كومنز هل ارتكبت خطأ ما؟ هل تريد إعادة تسمية ملف؟ بسيطة: حمل الملف مرة ثانية بالاسم الجديد و بعد ذلك اكتب `{{اسم خطأ\|اطبع الاسم الصحيح هنا}}` ضمن صفحة الصورة القديمة للمزيد من المعلومات اقرأ دليل الحذف الكامل

Thanks for this info, @Jeff G.. My opinion is that, even though this may be the current state of the implementation of MWs subsystems, things could change in the future. The more decisive factor here, as I see it, is that PNGs are more suited than JPEGs for this type of image (the best being SVGs, of course), and since Commons aims to be a long term repository of reusable good quality media, then perhaps we should worry less about how derivation is implemented at any given moment. Please use SVG

Thank you for uploading some images! Did you know that Wikimedia Commons recommends the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format for certain types of images? Scalable Vector Graphics are designed to look appropriate at any scale, and SVG images are easier to modify and translate, helping Wikimedia to distribute knowledge to all of the world. A lot of modern programs support SVG export. If you encountered problems or have questions, don't hesitate to ask me, a member of the Graphic Lab, or the Graphics village pump. Uploading images in SVG format isn't mandatory, but it would help. (To avoid any misunderstandings, please don't just put raster images into an SVG container as embedded raster.) Thanks, @EugeneZelenko, for this notice. Yes, I usually prefer SVGs in general, and more so for logos and emblems, of course. However, I couldn't yet find an SVG version of this image, nor have I created one. Once I do, I will upload it. Also, I'm very well aware of the difference between vector and raster, as to not embed a raster image in a vector container. Thanks, anyway. A.
