These signs have been extracted from two major sources: Book on Road Safety Signage & Signs by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and Code of Practice for Road Signs by Indian Roads Congress.

Although the publication by IRC is more reliable for standard measurements, signs can also be derived from MORTH designs.

Sign colours:

Since the IRC publication does not specify colours, below RGB values have been extracted from the MORTH manual.

  •   Blue (0,139,217)
  •   Red (238,24,31)
  •   Yellow (255,212,33)
  •   Green (44,189,142)

Sign fonts:

  • Arial (Latin) and Utsaah (Devanagari) for regulatory and mandatory road signs
  • Transport Medium (Latin) and Utsaah (Devanagari) for direction road signs
