I have written a bot to find pictures on given subjects, not only on WikiCommons but also around the net (using Google and the operator's own webbrowser). For this I need a list of sites or parts of sites with usable images. Please contact me if you found any new sites!

Licensing info

For each site I have tried to give the licensing info. Explanation:

• AT: Freely usable when mentioning the author
• CFU: Copyrighted, but may be used without restriction
• @: Specific usage restrictions considered compatible, see link
• PD: Public domain not further specified
• PDA: Public domain on account of age. Public domain in USA and/or Europe (usually both) because of the age of the work and the time the maker has been dead
• PDV: Put voluntarily into the PD by the author
• US: (Public domain) work from the US-government
• X!!: Multiple licenses, not all usable. Check copyright status of the specific image.
• XX: License unclear
• !: Site might have material that is not under the given license, this is clearly specified
• !!: Site has material not under the given license, presumably clearly specified
• !!!: Site has material not under the given license, not necessarily clearly specified

After that, between brackets is the identity of the copyright holder.
