Waterfall Gullfoss ("Golden Falls" in Icelandic), located in the canyon of the Hvítá river, is one of the main attractions of the Golden Circle in the southwest of Iceland. The fall flows over an 11 m-high step on the left, and the step on the right is 20 m high. In the summertime, when the picture was taken, water is flowing at the average rate of 140 m3/s.
