This template is intended to ease the placing of additional licensing for Wikimedia screenshots that contains pictures hosted in Commons, inside the {{Information}} template, author field. The CC licenses require that you must provide the proper authorship and licensing of every element depicted in the screenshot, even if the main subject is not the Wikimedia screenshot itself (eg. browser screenshots).

Notice that if you taken a screenshot of a Wikipedia that allows Fair use and it contains ANY non-free picture, then, you SHOULDN'T upload it to Commons! Please check the pictures depicted in then screenshot before uploading; if a screenshot containing a non-free picture and is really needed, please crop out or remove these non-free elements depicted on it.

Tip: Additionally, you can use the Annotations feature to link to the depicted picture(s).

The Filename of the picture(s) depicted in the Screenshot (with the File: prefix, without the brackets, eg. [[File:Screenshot]]). The licensing used, without any template formating, just in plain-text only (eg. CC-BY-SA/GFDL or PD-textlogo), with link is possible. In fact, you can place any text here, but you must provide valid licenses found and allowed in Commons.emptyrequired
