There is a long-standing unsolved problem with cross-wiki file uploads. When you upload a file to Commons using an upload form on another project (e.g. Wikipedia in your language), the upload is interrupted after reaching 5 MB. To bypass this problem in the future, use the upload link here on Commons instead when uploading bigger files. Now, to fix an already broken file: try to go to the file page of the broken file on Wikimedia Commons. Then click the link "Upload a new version of this file" under the section titled "File history" to upload the file properly.
