Tibetan font[edit]

This gallery is showing as ???????????. It may be that it is supposed to have some non-standard characters. I suggest moving it to the meaningful name Mount Everest or a readable alternative. In practice, there is a redirect from Mount Everest already. Finavon (talk) 23:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You need to install Nepali or Tibetan fonts in that case. On my PC I can see the fonts perfectly. Commons policy states that articles be kept in their native tongue, as opposed to categories which should be in English. Gryffindor (talk) 00:03, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK I'll remove the move tag. I have installed Microsoft support package GB18030 and after rebooting I can see (in Firefox) the characters in the Heading and on my Watchlist. However the browser header page tab and all uses in Explerer now show empty squares rather than question marks. Does any one know which font set is needed to view correctly? Structure of page[edit]

The images in the "Aerial view" section are all over the place on mobile browser (I've checked with mobile Firefox and mobile chromium).

This page also seems to be pretty unusual for wiki commons. Usually, images aren't added via galleries syntax but by adding a category to the images (e.g. Mount Everest). All images with the "Mount Everest" category would then automatically appear as a wiki commons gallery. Such auto-generated galleries are also displayed correctly on mobile. Nevermind, I just saw that this appears to be some special gallery page not a category page.
In this case, someone should maybe check the Aerial View section to make it display correctly on mobile. Nakonana (talk) 19:25, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
