English: Formica Leo is an adventive cinder cone of the Piton de la Fournaise, the active volcano of Réunion island in the Indian Ocean. Its name means in latine Ant Lion which refers to insects belonging to the Myrmeleontidae family whose larvae dig traps looking like this volcanic natural building.
Français : Le Formica Leo est un cône de projections adventif du Piton de la Fournaise, le volcan actif de l'île de La Réunion dans l'océan Indien. Son nom signifie en latin fourmi lion et fait références aux insectes de la famille des Myrmeleontidae dont les larves creusent des pièges qui ressemblent à cet édifice volcanique naturel.
